The Guitar Hero II 360 Hype Thread

What do you guys think the 360 version of Guitar Hero II will score here on GameSpot?  AAAA?  AAA?  AA?  A?  Somewhere below?  Have at it!

EDIT: In case anyone cares, it has a 94.6% at GameRankings based on 6 reviews.

AAA, because all the reviews that are already put it at around a 9-10 rating. I can see it scoring higher than the PS2 version, more songs, newer and apparently better controller and downloadable tracks.pundog

It's not just a cosmetic upgrade, there's 10 new songs along with the promise of more via downloadable content. Still probably not enough to bump it up to AAA.

I would have to say that the 360 will get another AA from this one.

After switching to the real thing... going back would be an insult to my time spent with a real one.

Guitar Hero may have been what got me into playing guitar but I know see it as just another boring rhythm game. I got my guitar back in December and I am already learning "Master Of Puppets." Kirk Hammett is a freaking beast.

It will be a good game mind you, for those not patient enough to learn the real thing.

Have you heard some of the GHII covers? I can play War Pigs better... :|

The song list does not flow as smoothly as the first one. The difficulty grows exponentially instead of gradually. And the Avenged Sevenfold song makes me vomit.

There's like 5 good songs on there... seriously Cherry Pie, Woman, Dead? Sure the first one had a few clunkers but this one is just bad, not to mention the covers suck. It's like they didn't put any effort into the song list.

Guitar hero got me into the real guitar and I don't think it's a waste of time :? . I still love guitar hero!!!TheJustin

They are great games.

AA, this game came out like half a year ago. Who the hell waits that long to play a game that's half a year old. Pretty much everyone who wanted to play it has played it already.DaysAirlines

That would be possibly relevant to sales, but not to the GameSpot score.

Yes some of the covers are bad, but it's still a devcent list IMO. And atleast they managed to finally get an Iron Maiden song in for the 360 version.

Achievements, 10 added songs, download content, improved visuals with HD, online leader boards, and a new guitar design are what will allow it to score similiar to the PS2 version (8.7) because the standards are not only higher for the 360, but the game was already released months ago.

If the game had of featured online multiplayer, it would be 9.0 - 9.2, but I could foresee lag completely ruining the game so I understand why they would exclude it.

I can't bring myself to spend that much with no online multiplayer.Sooshy

Call of Duty = Treyarch and was multi-plat...

Sonic = killed himself

LOTR = scored the same as the PC counter-part :?

Farcry = rehashed (once again, the developers fault)

Quake 4 = launch game which was rushed and Raven Software wasn't familiar with the hardware

I think he understands that, but he's just showing a correlation (even though it's not 100%).
