The immersive approach...

Which system do you think is most immersive???

Wii:
Wii-mote (Its fun, just swing your arms around and it works!!)

Wii-board (Teh freakin piece of plastic that tells you your overweight (poor Reggie....))

360:
Live (Online...)

Vision Camera (For.....well........online)

DolbyDigital 5.1 (Sound makes immersion)

PS3:

Motion control (Copy of Wii-mote, on a much less extreme basis)

PS Eye (Unlike the vision camera, this is used for games more often than not)

DolbyDigital 7.1 (Better than 5.1, but who actually owns this.....no one i know!!! :P)

I would personally say the Wii, then PS3, and 360 last. Thoughts??

PC > Wii > 360/PS3.

Ain't that the truth. I've seen some setups for Microsoft Flight Simulator that is more immersive than the 360, PS3, or Wii could ever hope to be.

exactly, i evensaw in pc gamer new foot pedals forpc gamesso you can bind keys to them and set them for buttons such as jump and run.

Sounds awesome in my opinion :D

A game doesn't need any fancy gimmicks to be immersive, get into a good game and the controller feels like an extension of yourself.

However it depends how you define ''immersion'', like how improved graphics and sound make for a richer experience definitely counts. Though its not always absolutely necessary.

Yeah flight sims are the only exception where you really need another device to make the most of it IMO (a joystick, not that amount of nonsense). Then maybe a mat for DDR.
