According to the Episode 210 of Invisible Walls... The last of Us while a interesting game left people feeling like it was essentially Uncharted with less guns/bullets but with a heavy emphasis on hand held weapons. Apparently it even had the same character movements/animation, icons and menu's just with a different name. I'm still very excited but it's not the most interesting thing that will be at E3(WiiU).Grey_Eyed_Elf
That's what I am afraid of. They even have the tap square (Or whatever button) to not die stuff like Uncharted had.
Greg miller did his awful explanation of it but all he kept saying was "there is this part like uncharted" over and over again.

As long as they get the atmosphere and tension needed for the game and story right then it will be great regardless of the technical similarities... fingers crossed the girl side character doesn't need defending 24/7, that could get tiresome.[QUOTE="seanmcloughlin"][QUOTE="Grey_Eyed_Elf"]According to the Episode 210 of Invisible Walls... They know how annoying that would be so they said when fights break out you don't need to protect her, she will hide on her own and throw bricks as distractions sometimes

Hmm... Well I hope so. Hopefully we get some game play at E3. I just remember how much I hate Ashley in RE4 and as soon as I saw the girl in The Last of Us I freaked out for a bit... then reminded my self that Naughty Dog has been stellar this generation but after several explanations of the game play shown I'm pretty much on the fence. I want to know and hope a its great but like I said in my original post it probably wont be the highlight of E3.According to the Episode 210 of Invisible Walls... I wouldnt take Shane's word for it,
the Invisible walls team are at times idiotic. Its a third person game made by the same dev that made Uncharted, no matter what you see on the screen you will subconsciously strain despite your best efforts to make a comparison to Uncharted, always.

Well I guess psychologically you could be pre-disposed to comparing it since its using the same engine and is made by the same developer and it doesn't help that its also a third person shooter essentially. All this game needs is atmosphere, emotion and a sense of confusion to succeed. I am only going by the information available. I want... in fact need a horror/survival/adventure game and Naughty Dog making it makes this one to look out for.[QUOTE="Grey_Eyed_Elf"]According to the Episode 210 of Invisible Walls... it's wans't anything like Uncharted from the trailer for me, I actually got excited. Now don't get me wrong UC is a highly pollished and high quality game production with excellent voice acting, but it's story and plot itself is where it failed me...I don't give a **** about any treasure hunting. The theme and feel of this game (from whats shown) is totally diffrent.
For me the gameplay and so-called linear style was never a problem for me with Uncharted, it was the oh hum story line that gave me little to no motivation to play it. This game looks to be going in a whole diffrent direction. Any comparison to uncheted (based on what's been shown here) other than be a 3rd person adventure games would seem forced IMO.

But most places are saying it looks and plays a lot like uncharted. Same interface (probably be changed) same button mapping for QTEs, same style of combat just slowed down and more clumsy looking, same cover and sneaking.
I think this game will look and feel a LOT like uncharted but it's story will be completely different obviously. But it will be impossible for people not to see uncharted in this game because it's like it in so many ways.
For me I couldn't give a toss about how well mo-capped and how well acted out the cutscenes are because I don't get to play them

Most places like?but thanks anyways for proving my point, like I said before, it really doesnt matter what the game plays like, people will see uncharted.
the HUD looks like Uncharted you say? wait, you mean the weapon or gun icon is at the top left and a button prompt comes up for you to do something?.
isnt that every Third person game ever made almost? Its fun watching people project
kind of like how every FPS 'looks' like COD or how every open world game 'feels' like GTA.
People will see what they want to see, ignore the differences and fill in the rest with their own prejudices.
I for one will wait to see gameplay for myself.

So essentially what your saying is ignore what anyone who has actually seen the game play because they are seeing what they want to see which is something you wouldn't see of a game you haven't seen?!... :oMost places like?[QUOTE="Zaibach"]

Many who saw Heavenly sword thought it played just like GOW
Many who saw Assassin's creed for the first time thought it was like POP

When the media got the preview of it before all the sites were resonating some of the same stuff like IGN and gametrailers, some other sites too that aren't that big so i can't remember their names, I just clicked on links people posted.
One of them said the icons were the same as Uncharted and so was the HUD more or less, but these could just be placeholders until the want to change them.
But even listening to Greg Miller "Reenact it" he kept saying "This one part just like uncharted" and the whole thing was filled with stuff like that.
To me it sounds like a slowed down, more gritty and realistic Uncharted. like instead of merrily and quickly snapping necks it now takes more time. But I can hear the comments already after seeing it in motion. Most will say it looks awesome and disregard it looking like uncharted even if it does and the rest will just outright say it's "Uncharted with Zombies" But yeah let's wait and see.Should be interesting nonetheless
