The Last of Us is about GIANT ants!

I was joking about this yesterday - asking if this was a post-apacolyptic ant simulator.

And Them! was a terrible movie.

This is the first thing that comes to my mind when I think of a game with Giant Ants.

Same here. They weren't too bad in Skyrim, until you got deep in their lair of web and death, walked into a giant and empty space and saw a big momma spider slowly coming down at you from a big hole when you looked up.

Ugh...

That would make a great horror game though, Amnesia would have been 10x more terrifying if there were more spiders instead of lame old roaches.

But what is with all the quarantines in the video and the "Infection" as they call it?

It was either gonna be Giant Ants or Infected humans. I really thought the giant ants too with the noises on the tape and the screams. But the quarantines and "infected" talk made me think humans. Maybe its both? I don't know anymore but I am still excited. This game is really getting me hyped :P

I still can't believe those are screenshots. I have a feeling they're the biggest bullshots of all time. What's crazy is that the leaves actually do look like flat textures when I blow up the image! ActionRemix

I know. I thought it was a photo just to show the premise of the game blah blah but then I zoomed in and saw the pixelation and it blew my mind. That's why I thought it was Crytek seen as they have high end visuals and do some of the best foliage.

Shots are definitely Bull shots anyway. It won't look THAT realistic. It will look superb no doubt but these are for hype.Most shots are BS these days.

Also you listened to the IGN podcast on it right? cos they talked about how it could be a Them! kind of game

I didn't respond to the video because I made a thread about it earlier today but got no replies so I deleted it :P

I don't care if it has mutated ant human hybrids conquered by aliens as long as its done right. The game has such buzz around it and has great potential and the people making it seem very smart with the way they are releasing stuff for it. I am impressed by it already. I just hope its not a disappointment or a let down.

Also I agree with the others, I really want a cool horror game. One with giant ants could really work if done right. Create the fear and tension I heard in the ant trailer at the end and you're onto a winner. We need a good scary mainstream game

Maybe scientists were making an experiment or sumtin then the ants started mutating and now they crawl into people and turn them into ant people by controlling their brains and changing their dna somehow. Then they make the infected ant people make the ants bigger, stronger and smarter somehow and the ants start evolving and start taking over the world by kicking mankind's ass. :o

And you play with a regular dude who go lost or left behind and is trying to survive.
