nintendo need to stop being lazy and get some of those wii exclusive japanese games over here. i see a lot of good games over there i want to play. Rahnyc4Problem is can they make any money off of it? I don't know if the Wii has a big market for RPGS in NA/Europe for it to be worth Nintendos time to bring over.
[QUOTE="OreoMilkshake"]Too bad it won't release here.p3anut
Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon came over I don't see why this wont. Xenoblade is the one we should be more worried.
I just think Nintendo will be stubborn about it.[QUOTE="Rahnyc4"]nintendo need to stop being lazy and get some of those wii exclusive japanese games over here. i see a lot of good games over there i want to play. I don't know but seems Wii isn't the console where most of JRPG fanbase resides neither in Japan nor in the west since even Tales games doesn't do very well on it even in japan.

True. however, considering the success of Monster Hunter Tri and Xenoblade, I think Nintendo might be slightly more confident about the prospects of JRPGs, in both Japan, as well as the rest of the world.[QUOTE="Kashiwaba"][QUOTE="TheColbert"] Problem is can they make any money off of it? So do I, the latter more than the former. But I really want to see them both come to the States (and Europe as well) soon. And seeing how they're growing more confident (releasing Dragon Quest VI here, taking on publishing duties themselves), means that there's an increased chance that we're seeing both titles here soon.If the ps3 wasn't so full of amazing games this year, I'd have got a wii to get all the amazing exclusives it got last year. (there's too many games)
But if I bought a wii I may literally go broke :P
And the last story looks soooo awesome :D
I thought eveything got a 38 on famitsu with a select few 40s. Their scale starts at 36 and goes up by increments of 2 for a total of 3 posible scores ranging from awesome to more awesome.eNT1TY
no, I've seen a few 30's.
A game could get a 4, if all 4 reviewers give it a 1.
EDIT: I don't want to know how bad a game would have to be to get a 4 on famitsu though :P

they are japan's ign as far as generosity goes :), and for the sake of lending credibility to their publication i guess they need to randomly elect one game every couple months that scores below 30 aggregate[QUOTE="theuncharted34"][QUOTE="eNT1TY"]I thought eveything got a 38 on famitsu with a select few 40s. here is this week's scores
I see a lot of 20's for a magazine that rarely gives under 30's to games >____>
lemme correct that for you
Famitsu rarely gives under 36 to RPGs. It's the IGN of RPGs

The problem is most of the people doesn't understand how Famitsu scores the games they think its score from 40 while its actually 4 persons reviewing 1 game and usually each person represent a type of gamers like hardcore, casual and a girl (At least thats what I remember).
I swear all there scores I see are either this or 40/40 :Psoulitane
ya why dont people make 100 threads about all those games that scored 0-30/40 :P
oh ya right, because no one cares.
-
as for those people saying famitsu scores dont mean anything-
implying other scores mean anything
they mean as much as any other score reported to this site. which means that they mean nothing, or as much as you put into them yourself.
In comparison, you not caring about famitsu scores, is the same as a japanise guy not caring about gamespot scores. Not surprising at all.
Saying Famitsu scores don't mean much isn't because it's a Japanese magazine.
It's because enough moneyhatting or advertising dollars spent will get you a good score.
One could say the same applies to other review sources though I suppose.
