Clearly you haven't beat the game yet... The game's intensity increases as it goes on.. It's starts off extremely slow... but it's story gets very climatic. Plus, once you play the mission "Three Leaf Cover" you will **** your pants out of excitement, that mission alone made me love this game to death.

No not really but it does annoy me when someones opinion is based off absolutely nothing. You havent played the game, yet call the game mediocre just get over the fact GTA4 is amazing and will hold on to the number one spot.

Considering it has more reviews then OoT and is still higher, it is dethroned in my opinion. Just like I think SMG dethroned it when it had more reviews and a higher score.

Those judging the game when they haven't played the whole thing makes no sense. I haven't beaten all of OoT, only around halfway, so I'm not going to say it doesn't deserve where it is. I found it fun, and interesting, but I haven't touched my Wii recently enough to finish it.

I've played it. In fact I bought it at midnight. It's a great game but it has flaws and it is not a 10. Although I'm really loving that it is an actual narrative and I think I'm enjoying the story more than the gameplay.

But who cares what arbitrary number some guy that went to school for journalism gave it? They're professional reviewers not gameplayers. In fact a lot of game journalists are not hardcore gamers. They jump from game to game and rarely finish them. Just because they can write does not mean I necessarily respect their opinions.

Lol GTA IV doesn't deserve that high of a spot. Sure it may be excellent, but it got a score boost because of being GTA. Zelda OOT revolutionized gaming and was ground-breaking in all aspects.Mr_Cumberdale

All that needs to be said is GTA IV delivers. It delivers bucket loads and then more. It has lived up to the hype and it's reaping its rewards. It's that good.Hoobinator

I was hoping for some more Iron Maiden, Ozzy, and Alice in Chains.

All that GTA delivered is a last gen experience, reviewers forgot that GTA went into the next gen now. It's a great game and the multiplayer is the most significant improvement over past GTA's, but GTAIV failed to deliver what GTA III did for the PS2. Yea the backlash on this game will be immense.

It has 33 reviews right now while OoT has 32. That's the Xbox 360 version. The PS3 version hasn't even achieved 20 reviews yet so it's not counted so far.Hexagon_777

This is the first game to do this. There are others that were higher after 20 reviews but by the time they got to 32 they were lower than OOT. It is official, it has had a higher rating by over a point with more reviews, it doesn't really matter what happens from here on.
