I am a Wii owner but do plan to get another system. I was really starting to doubt the ps3 until the recent price drop and looking at their software lineup for this month and the next four months which looks very strong. System wars was getting lame but i think that sonys improvments from now till march will at least lead to some interesting discussions. I know the ps3 will still be in last place but t least they will have some legitimate games to defend.

Now for the Wii. I got my wii a week after launch. Everyone thought it was crazy because the last nintendo I owned was the super nes which was great. I did not like their line up with the 64 or cube. They did have a few gems which those systems but not enougth for me to invest in the system. I get the wii with high hopes and while it has had a few moments I am kinda disapointed as a hard core gamer. my wife play more than me. And virtual con games get more play than wii games. I try very hard to support the system but I always feel like I want a "real" game to play. MP was fun, Trauma center is cool I even have Wario, and Rayman. I just beat paper mario and will get SMG this weekend but I just do not feel sastified with the experience. I think this system will have short legs with the hard core gamers (after SSMB it over) but people like my wife will be the one who support it in 08 and beyond.

XB360 has been pretty cool so far. I did not get the original XB because I did not fee lthat it was all that great when compared to the ps2 and all its great hits. but this gen looks lie the 360 is the new ps2. huge library and all. I remember my best friend use to hate on the ps2 library becuae of what we call fluff. The 360 has the same problem. and now I see taht he was right about last gen asn I am about this one. He is crazy happy with his 360 like I was with my ps2. I am thinking about getting a 360 but too many shooters, arcade needs more original games and not remakes or rereleases of very opoular games that i played. give me some gems i overlooked back n the day like superstardust. I like the 360 but it is just tne new ps2. (which is a good thing)

I think that sony was right about this being a marathon. I se the wii loosing ground with the hard core but my wife and other like her will still be their. The ps3 will be gaining ground with the games they offer for the hard core and other features we should see in 08 and the 360 will not move forward or backwards too much but will be in desperate need of tweeking their hype machine as the ps3 games find themselves on par or better in 08. 07 was the year of the casuals but 08 will be the battle of the hard core and I can wait.
