If I had me a good pc I tell ya. whooee id have a damn fine latest pc there is and an internet connection over anything else in the world

internet means freeware means

free customisation of your computer to entirely suit your needs in every respect forever

means lots of games... and you can get games for cheap through steam... and I tell you a steam account is amazing thing it gives you access to all your games it feels safe... you actually feel rewarded for being a loyal follower of the law and purchasing the games. It's excellent it gives you something that is yours and yours forever even if you're on another computer. The fact that steam is free and will go on any gaming pc then in a sense already smashes xbox live and psn combined... and then the whole information highway that is the internet multiplies that by a billion gazillion beyond your wildest dreams...

you can turn your pc into whatever you want with the right hardware... and hell you can get a lot better sound with your pc for a lot cheaper than you can a home cinema.. your immersion factor in your video games is huge... with the screen all close like that you get a big portion of your view dominated by the sweet sweet graphics of modern gaming, you gotta pay for it but theres so much you can use a performance pc for where you dont have to pay.

like all the glorious freeware and experimental stuff thats out there

you can have a gamepad if you want to... and while im sure thats very good for some games... pc games are mainly designed to make use of the huge keyboard in front of you... and it works remarkably well you know especially in like a simulator game it can be really damn good fun to get used to all the controls of real spacecraft with amazing graphics and fly amazingly through the atmosphere and into a stable orbit... everything is goddamn realistic too and there's a million things to think about...

now I bet you if a game like that was announced to come out on ps3 or 360 people would rave and rave and rave about it because its truly that advanced a game thats as good as anything commercial... but not many people have heard of it because its freeware and was made by a physics professor at UCL in london (and for those who aren't familiar with physics departments in the uk there is a huge emphasis on computing and computer programming is taught to all undergrads) and its pretty damn good

sure its more expensive, but you could still do a lot more with a pc thats ready to be thrown out nowadays than you could with a console, even if you dont get the graphics or the latest games... we've all obviously got pcs... check out that freeware! Theres so much of it and some of it will blow your mind and really immerse you

but if you want the best graphics, of course the pc has that, and the best fps and online fps the pc has that, and the huge mod scene some of which can be truly inventive and enthralling... and then you have mmorpgs that mix social interaction, competition and self-advancement with gaming to create some heroin like seratonin release that'll addict your ass off (we've evolved to instinctually maximise seratonin release)

consoles will go... i'm sure of it... sure of it as anything ive ever been sure of... because eventually the pc's scope will push the need for a console right off the map. Either way I'm sure sony and microsoft will both be in a position to be at the forefront of technological research as computers becoming more and more evolved and integrated into our lives... nintendo will turn back to its cards, before some sort of shifting ink card display cards, a mere output of the pc, will have taken that market from them too.

What is a console if not a personal computer?

Get real. I like PC gaming too but it really is not different. They are all part of the same miracle.

They are noth part of the same "miracle" and tech revolution. Computers in our home.

I personally have 7 or 8 "personal" computers including PC's and consoles. That is not counting cell phones and crap like that.

Obviously they are differant, but all part of the same revolution. That is obvious.
