The most addictive games you've ever played?

I can't get to bed... All I can think about is flying Warhawks... Need to play Warhawk... The game is seriously cutting into my sleep, I mean, it's almost 6:00 in the morning! The first time I played Warhawk I played 3 hours straight, but that record actually goes to Starcraft: Brood War. I went 6 hours straight with that game when I first started playing it :shock:. These kind of games come very rarely for me, but when they do, they control me... :cry:

Game's I've been heavily (meaning 200+ hours) addicted to:

• Starcraft: Broodwar
• Pokemon Pearl
• Pokemon Blue
• Halo 2
• Gears of War

And now... Warhawk! But the worst case of addiction I've ever had with a game was Starcraft: Broodwar. Leave it to the addiction experts when it comes to games... BLIZZARD.

As crazy as this sounds, one of the most addictive games I have ever played (and still play often today) is Mario vs Luigi on NSMB.

It's like taking the classic feel of mario, and adding the endless competitve replay value of halo...if only it were online. :(

Hmmm. I have NSMB and never checked that out. :P I'll see what that's all about later today.

Once you master Counter-Strike, it's very addictive.

Although Diablo 2 takes the cake for me.

The second you understand the game mechanics, everything just clicks. I played the game for ages, even on crappy hardware and had a blast. It's out of my system at the moment since I haven't played it but hearing "Fire in the Hole" or "You take the point" would set me off. :/

I could play it if my PC wasn't so ****ed up, at like 10x the framerate I used to play it on my old PC haha.

6 hours is nothing.

I played KOTOR for like 12 hours straight the first day I got it.

I usually do that with RPGs, I can't get enough.

I played Bioshock for 9 hours just the other day.

Not as bad as my 13 year old bro though, who played WoW for 19 freakin hours straight.

Wow is so lame.

Tiger Woods 08 I got it 3pm yesterday and played it till about midnight then slept 3h and played it another 1h and now I go to work. id call in sick to but I have a week off in tow weeks and need the money

You like Hadouken!? :P I play That boy That girl while play Gears of War all the time, it works really well with the pace of the game for some reason.

Edit: UT2K is pure bliss. I remember the first time playing the demo, map was ONS-Torlan, damn I had so much fun I would play that for hours straight. I love the game because you can look like such a badass while doing everything haha.

pokemon pearl, it was my first pokemon game and i played it pretty much all day when i bought it

it probably has something to do with the portability, it took it in the car, played it while watching tv and eating, and have put 218 hours into it :( to think something as simple as doing random battles over and over to level up cute littlepokemon could be so addictive

hmm, although i enjoy console games quite a bit, i've never gotten addicted to them like i have with pc games. some pc games i've gotten totally hooked on:

anything from the Monkey Island Series

...those are the ones that come to mind right now

Phantasy Star Online for the Dreamcast.

That game had a mega grip on me, then when all the hacking and PK'ing started and the game turned into a - " Are you good enough to enter without having you're player killed or worse " strangely enough it became more addicting to make my player Bullet Proof - and I did - great stuff !
