We all have different definitions of hardcore so I'm not saying what exactly hardcore isbut, what I think it is when I choose the game I did. Anyway so what to you is the most hardcore game you played and why? Mine is Sonic and Secret Rings because it took about 4 or 5 hours of leveling up before sonic was actually fast enough to be fun, plus imprecise controls in a game that requires perfection, plus a reasonably high difficulty level all in order to get gold in each mission (might I add I did do after a lot of screaming and new words being created).

These games, F-Zero GX, and anything Treasure makes. Also Ninja Gaiden It is hard, and also any games from the NES that are really hard like Contra series.

Kid Chameleon.

The player, as Kid Chameleon, progresses through a series of levels. Most levels contain a flag, which is the primary goal of each level, from which the player progresses to the next level. However, a number of teleporters throughout the game can warp the player not only to different places in the same level, but also to different levels, and sometimes to an entirely different path through the game. At the end of the game, Kid fights and defeats the final boss, Heady Metal. Kid Chameleon contains nearly a hundred levels, of which only about half are on the "main path" (traversing levels only by flags), and also counts the two-dozen smaller unnamed levels, simply called "Elsewhere". Despite the game's considerable length, there was no password system or other method of saving the game. However, both Sega Genesis Collection and the Virtual Console service allow players to save their progress mid-game.

As Kid Chameleon moves through the game's levels, he gains access to masks that transform him into different characters. Each character has different special abilities and varying amounts of hit points. The sheer amount of variety in gameplay due to the various characters is part of what gave Kid Chameleon such an addictive **** few levels repeated the same structure and they usually had specific strategies and characters to be beaten. In addition to the offensive abilities of each form, the Kid could also defeat enemies by jumping on them, although he may take damage from some enemies by doing so.

None of you are hardcore enough to compete.

They don't make 'em hardcore like Contra anymore, a game that basically required a cheat code to even get to the end. Shout-out also goes to Battletoads.

Out of the more recent games, Ninja Gaiden Black comes to mind.

Indeed. The lack of Mii integration, the lack of online play, etc...that review was a joke.

Most hardcore other than Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn? Well other than Desert Bus or even Ninja Golf, I'd say pretty much most RTS and from what I hear Sins is pretty deep, other than the 3 faction similarity.

In terms of sheer learning curve and skill required to play, Falcon 4.0 and Lock-On: Modern Air Combat are rivalled by none. Each of those games has a manual the size of a dictionary.

I would also say Sonalysts Dangerous Waters.

You could run a sub with only the engine crew after you play that game. The rest of the stations you manage yourself.

GEARS OF WAR online--can't use the chainsaw can't use the shotgun can't melee can't use the lancer can't use the boomshot

You can only use the longshot and maybe the torque bow but you will still be accused of exploiting some glitch.

Oh yeah and god forbid you steal somebodies kill

Don't host games either

I'll go out on a limb and propose that Wii Fit has a chance. Not a huge one, but a chance. Remember how Okami beat out TP because of how incredibly original and unique it was? Same basic principal, Wii Fit is new and innovative. Wii sports got nominated in 2006 and it was just a demo! Wii Fit is a full game that is just as innovative, so it deserves a nomination, and possibly to win.

Desert Bus

http://torrentfreak.com/images/desert%20bus.png

skrat_01

This game is the most hardcore game ever:

"The objective of the game is to drive a bus from Tucson, Arizona to Las Vegas, Nevada in real time at a maximum speed of 45mph, a feat that would take the player 8 hours of continuous play to complete, as the game cannot be paused.

The bus contains no passengers, and there is no scenery or other cars on the road. The bus veers to the right slightly; as a result, it is impossible to tape down a button to go do something else and have the game end properly. If the bus veers off the road it will stall and be towed back to Tucson, also in real time.

If the player makes it to Las Vegas, they will score exactly one point. The player then gets the option to make the return trip to Tucson—for another point (a decision they must make in a few seconds or the game ends). Players may continue to make trips and score points as long as their endurance holds out.

Some players who have completed the trip have also noted that, although the scenery never changes, a bug splats on the windscreen about five hours through the first trip, and on the return trip the light does fade, with differences at dusk, and later a pitch black road where the player is guided only with headlights.
"

I actually want to play it just to say I have.
