Lo and behold...the most revolutionary game of all time, the game that took the gaming world by storm: NBA Street Homecourt Released on februrary 19, 2007, NBA Street Homecourt brought us the first true next gen experience. It changed the way game developers approached game design. All of you brag about GTA's open world gameplay, but none of you ever talk about NBA Street Homecorut's open court gameplay. Unlike any other basketball game, NBA Street Homecourt lets the player choose exactly how they want to play ball. The player must ask themself: Should I play like the Globetrotters or should I play like a professional well-coordinated team? No other game has choices like this. NBA Street Homecourt is revolutionary because its a game of many genres. Its a third person shooter (you shoot balls and what could be funner than that?). Its a racing game (you gotta race across the court). Its a RPG (all the teams have stats). Its even a RTS because basketball takes alot of strategy. And the graphics: SWEET BABY JESUS! they look good! When I first saw the graphics in this game, I had to walk around for a while and look at stuff and confirm that it looked the same to make sure I wasn't hallucinating. Uncharted 2 looks okay. I'd even say that it's a great looking game, but nothing compared to NBA Street Homecourt. They're just not in the same league. I can say as a straight male whose comofrtable with his sexuality and bangs atleast 5 women every night that Kobe Bryant is rendered in all his handsome glory. Only Crysis looks better but that's just because its on PC. If NBA Street Homecourt was on PC and you maxed out that baby, hot dayyuuum! Fun fact: NBA Street Homecourt is the first Xbox 360 game to be natively rendered in 1080p resolution. NBA Street also raises the bar for storytelling. It tells a deep heart warming story about brotherly comradery on the court. Metal Gear Solid 4 has to bombard the player with cutscenes to tell a story but NBA Street just needs a ball, a court and some buddies that want to play ball. It's amazing that such universal themes can come out of a game of basketball. Whew! Powerful stuff. NBA Street also has the most realistic characters because they're real players. How can you get any realer than that? Last but not least, the Gamebreaker is probably the single greatest event in videogames. Nothing in any game can match the pure excitement that the Gamebreaker unleashed upon the world. The hairs stand up on the back of my neck every time in happen. It. just. never. gets. old. Never. I'm just so surprised this game is not selling like Call of Duty. You don't even have to like basketball for this game to enrich your life. It's just that damn good. Please try it if you haven't.

If you appreciate what GTA 3 did you should be shocked at what NBA Street Homecourt managed to accomplish.

Hey, it's my opinion. No need to be snide.

here are revolutionary games: zelda: ocarina of time any 3D action game has at least 3 characteristics that were first implemented here. mario 64: practically all other 3D games that don't have fixed cameras owe mario 64 a big one. GTA 3: huge open 3D world, do whatever you want. first time a videogame ever did it. NBA street homecourt... a visual update that we've seen much better looking at zelda twilight princess (an impressive looking game) and assassin's creed (a ridiculously impressive looking game) at the same time so we can compare

it's a korean MMORPG with 80x80 PvPs every 4 hours and more action than most of them. i don't like the old "click -> wait for enemy to die -> click" thing. and before you say "but WoW has awesome quests and story to follow", this one also has. and... *points at other post*

True that. JRPG's are so one track. The genre needs to evolve fo real. Final Fantasy X was a step in the right direction because it had a blitzball. But that blitzball needs to become a basketball.

Dude, you just lost your credibility with this post. Twilight Princess is a Wii game and NBA Street Homecourt is rendered in 1080p.

i didn't add twilight princess as the graphically awesome one. i meant compare the best of the past (twilight princess) with the best we got at the beginning of the generation (assassin's creed, in my opinion), and see the huge difference. if i wanted to add the most graphically impressive game i've seen, of course i wouldn't pick TP (which, BTW, is a gamecube game that got a wii port) AC even comes with a huge IGN quote on the box: "the first true next-gen experience"

he just thinks that someone (which created an account... today, which is what some people do when they want to troll) saying "NBA is the most revolutionary game ever" is so absurd it has to be a troll. maybe he overreacted. BTW... even if i DID play JRPGs (which i do), doesn't mean that's the only thing i play and that i only know about it, and therefore can't come up with revolutionary games to counter-argument. there's something called "variety". (BTW this wasn't directed to you personally... it's more to the other guy who was saying my opinion didn't count because i like JRPGs... which really do need a change)

CABAL online. but apparently the north american server sucks. i'm from brazil, and our updates are less than months from the korean server. yay for us :P i'd check the british one. oh, and some footage of the massive PvP (sorry for not linking... stupid quick reply) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ck7d26iOu8w&feature=related and some less confusing, non-war-related video: http://www.xfire.com/video/18f658/ yes that's me :P SORRY FOR THE OFF TOPIC!

[QUOTE="BrunoBRS"] he just thinks that someone (which created an account... today, which is what some people do when they want to troll) saying "NBA is the most revolutionary game ever" is so absurd it has to be a troll. maybe he overreacted. BTW... even if i DID play JRPGs (which i do), doesn't mean that's the only thing i play and that i only know about it, and therefore can't come up with revolutionary games to counter-argument. there's something called "variety". (BTW this wasn't directed to you personally... it's more to the other guy who was saying my opinion didn't count because i like JRPGs... which really do need a change)BrunoBRS

They really do. Also, this is off-topic, but I was wondering. What is that MMO you were talking about. It sounds awesome.

It's okay to go a little off topic. Just make sure to tie in back to NBA Street Homecourt.

I agree with the TC. NBA Street Homecourt is the most beautiful game ever created, one that all developers today attempt to emulate. But in the end there is only one best game, the one that sets the course of the whole industry.

You created an account one day. Does that mean you were trolling?

no. absolutely not. i think the guy overreacted. i SAID it on the post. i'm just saying people create accounts just for trolling, you created the account today, so some people may assume that you're a troll.

I'm not a troll. I swear. I'm just a guy who loves NBA Street Homecourt. The game changed my life. I won't go into details, but lets just say I was a very troubled young man going the wrong way in life before I discovered this game. Now I'm a straight A student.

So,you call a basketball game a mix of TPS,RPG and RTS? Graphics better than U2? If it realy revolutionarized gaming, why aren't we seeing more and more games like that?

We don't see more games like it because the formula is so amazing that its super hard to duplicate.
