The most visually impressive looking game of this generation is only on PS4

A lot of previews are coming out everywhere for the upcoming PS4 game Ratchet and Clank and many simply call it a living pixar game or the living dream

Why isnt Sony marketing this game more ?

The Ratchet and Clank franchise is extremely strong and sells well on its own without marketing so maybe thats why or could be because its still too early to market it (releasing April 12th) AND dont forget the Ratchet and Clank movie is releasing same time as the game so the big screen movie is going to market the game too

Until it's not, to be completely honest it looks like a play on what Knack already did just taken a bit further.

It's a very good looking game, but 3D animation stylized novelty is not what people want to see when they're discussing the best looking games available. Games like Uncharted 4, Quantum Break, Star Citizen and so on are where graphical prowess really come into play, in more 'realistic' settings.

These are simple forms within simple environments, the intricacies are just not apparent.

Day one. I have not really been into cartoony platformers in a long time, but this game has my interest. Being able to buy it for $32 makes it a no-brainer. Smart move by Sony to get people like me that normally would buy this type of game off the fence.

And yes it is the best looking game on console. It's amazing what you can do when graphics are not focused on hyper-realism.

Art style can go long way.

Oh I know that, Crash Bandicoot because of its style is still one of the best looking games on the PlayStation, it holds up very well because it's not attempting to bridge the uncanny valley, I'm just saying there's nothing technologically impressive here.

@dynamitecop: But there's something about that Pixar style once in awhile that's appealing.

And yes it is technologically impressive. The textures and lightning are extremely high quality. It's got some great physics as well.

Everyone who's even remotely should get this day 1, so we can show publishers there's a demand and get more of these in the future, like a Sly Cooper and Jak and Daxter reboot

In my opinion, it is the best looking game ever.

From what little I saw of it the game does look pretty.

@spicymeatball27: Nope. They got the gameplay right with the second game and have tweaked and refined it since then. Why drastically change the core gameplay if it works and people enjoy it? This happens with lots of franchises: Halo, Uncharted, Infamous, Battlefield, Call of Duty, Assassins Creed, Persona, Elder Scrolls,Star Craft, Zelda, Pokemon, Dark Souls etc, etc.

One of those games that are simply impossible on the Xbox One.

It does look good. Though that game and those graphics shouldn't be an issue on today's consoles. Put that game on PC though....then we are talking good looking.

Wrong, so wrong. RC appeals to everyone, the simple gameplay makes it easy for kids to pick up, the intense colourful graphics just makes things pop and the humour can be enjoyed by both adults and kids. Dark Souls is a niche game. Hell, look at Bloodborne, the massively hyped PS4 exclusive. How many did that sell? A million? How many PS4's are out there in the wild? 10 million, 15 million? More most likely...

Getting better, had my transplant a few days ago and I'm on the mend.

Get to go home on Monday, brother got me Ace Attorney: Investigations so I've been having fun with that.

I will be getting this after I get DOAX3 and Senran Kagura Estival Versus.

Games looks fantastic. I LOVE Insomniac and Sunset Overdrive was my 2014 GOTY. This is an EASY day 1 purchase.

I have to admit, the game looks really good! Never even played a Ratchet & Clank game before. I was a Jak & Daxter fan back in the day though. This is a great change from the usual shooters and "realism" focus that over saturates the AAA scene.

Sadly not many people seem to be talking about it. It's always Uncharted this, Uncharted that.

Definitely excited. Ratchet and Clank is one of my favorite gaming franchises.

Now this is a PS4 exclusive that I can get behind. I wouldn't say it has the best graphics ever, but it looks pretty as Hell. If I had a PS4 I'd buy it IF reviews were good. It might turn out to be crap for all we know. Lol

The whole series (bar 2 of them) are all excellent, I highly doubt it'll be even be remotely "crap"
