The Studio doesn't matter....as long as Kojima is directing it, the film will do just fineWarp_2567Somehow I doubt that its gonna be him directing, but if it was it would definetelly own.
I think Uwe Boll just cried inside..CuDDKiDDWell Kojima already told Uwe to go and screw himself and stay away from it.
They should make it a CG film like Final Fantasy: Spirits Within. HeithYea, hehe, I still can't picture how this movie will be.
The Studio doesn't matter....as long as Kojima is directing it, the film will do just fineWarp_2567I know the studio doesn't matter, just pointing out to some ppl who said it was Universal therefore no BR for it which would be weird. Also even if Kojima doesn't direct it he would still be involved.
I think this should somewhat confirm MGS4Â should be PS3 exclusive BlinblingthingI agree but how does this confirm?
[QUOTE="pins_basic"][QUOTE="Blinblingthing"]I think this should confirm MGS4 will be PS3 exclusiveGiancarHow? I doesn't confirm anything...But Sony is funding the movie... The relationship between Kojima and Sony just got tighter... I dare to say, it is a very tight one... I doubt it would effect anything. Sony distributes RE and even the DOA movie was from MGM.
Just when you thought that you have seen everything, now cows are hyping another movie based on a video game. Yea Sony pictures makes wonderful vg movies (cough, cough Silent Hill.)
Who cares who directs. Besides maybe Tomb Raider no vg movie is worth watching or worrying about.
I guess waiting for something to play makes you desperate.
[QUOTE="CuDDKiDD"]I think Uwe Boll just cried inside..WasdieHaha. No way in hell Sony would let that guy get close to the MGS movie. I heard he's playing Snake :o
Okay people say that games to movies do not work, and the are a flop, yes they are. But come on MGS games are nearly movies and they are great, so how can this be a flop?zsc4
Easy. Consider Resident Evil. We're talkin over four games of material, a lot of which could make an awsome movie...and how much did they use? Some names and loose associations? Same story for Silent Hill. Both had tons of usable material, some even that could be expanded, but no.
LOL. I knew some ppl would make MGS4 exclusivity claims.tegovoltio

Well, yup, as you can see it's not Universal as some ppl climed....Oh and before MGS haters come in, we all know that MGS games are nothing more than ''interactive movies''
Sry if old....it's should be...

I think it really depends on the contract between Sony and Konami. Konami could have agreed to let Sony make the movie if Sony lets them get more share of the profit to be made from the movie and in return Konami promises to keep MGS4 exclusive to the PS3. In this way, if there aren't enough PS3s sold to customers, at least Konami could make up for it in profits from the movie. I'm not saying this is the case, but it does lower the chances of MGS4 going to another platform.ZhengiI really don't think the movie is related to the game development. Read through the news and it says it's already a big budget movie.

Read through the news and it says it's already a big budget movie. This is what I got from the news:
Kojima got a Class-A contract from Sony. That contract could be similar to what I described in my post. The fact that it's a big budget movie doesn't change what could be written in that contract that Kojima signed."I have received many offers to adapt Metal Gear Solid. It has taken a long time, but we have finally settled on an arrangement," Kojima said in a statement. "False facts aside, a movie project is underway. I have finalized a Class-A contract with a party in Hollywood."

This is the kind of deal only Sony (with its media connections) could orchestrate. It'd also be the one thing Microsoft couldn't match.
