the new killzone gameplay vids prove that the ps3 is far more powerful than 360

Just go to Gamersyde and download the videos, and you can see them in HD quality. Graphically, Killzone 2 smokes ANY current Xbox 360 game, even Gears. It's still in the pre-alpha stage, and the frame rate is silky smooth, and the graphics, lighting and shadows all look spectacular. Ps 3 owners just need to forget the people dogging this game still, because the majority are single console (360) owners that are jealous because their console isn't technically capable of pulling this off. As far as I'm concerned, SONY has already proven to have the more powerful console. (I own both consoles, by the way). ChiefFreeman

Not to really hate on KZ2, but nothing seen was OMG worthy. Except for graphics in terms of character models there wasn't anything cool or amazing in those vids to make such a statement. A far as I am concerned the game better had been on easy mode because right now the game is lacking that.

Also lets see what happens on May 9 and May 13 before you go on saying the 360 can't compete graphically.

Disagree with that, Crysis had some fun, unlinear gameplay if you were willing to look for it.

I am personally very underwhelmed at the game in its current state. The game looks to be quite linear in design (and grey in colour). Is there any sort of innovation here or is it just run of the mill FPS? Resistance 2 looks much better.

IGN are also pretty underwhelmed at the gameplay according to their preview, they even state that it is shaping up to take the footsteps of its predecessor. It will look great though, heres to hoping it's not all grey.

oh no i agree crysis had a great story mode i enjoyed just saying 80% of reviews reviewed it for it's graphics.

killzone 2 does looks insane...IMO, theres not 360 fps title or any title that matches those animations, lighting and overall effects.

keep in mind thats my opinion.

and that's just for a shooter. I'm sure Banjo 3 and Ninja Gaiden 2 will look a lot better than what the ps3 is offering in those genres. (I would say Fable 2 but i'm not sure if it's safe to say it yet).

The thing is it doesnt seem that type of destructibility is going to be consistant through KZ2 from the other short clips that has been shown. We have yet to see Gears 2's destructibility so I wont even comment on that.

Good point, and I too think is just too early too speculate. However, while I think KZ2 is looking fantastic, and think it will end up at the very least vindicating itself somewhat from what went down with Killzone 1, I will say that it is a much safer bet to say that Gears of War 2 will indeed deliver in spades based on the success of the first one alone. I mean that is only a fair and logical assumption, right?

It will probably come down to preference on art style. Both will most likely look great.

not sure what you've seen from NG 2,but overall i think it will look awesome in 720p (i think) with lots of blood and other stuff flying through the air. it will be brutal.

and i realize that we haven't seen anything on Banjo 3, but the past 2 games that Rare made for the 360 (Viva Pinata, Kameo) looked incredible. I don't think the sequel to one of the best games they've ever made, which happens to be one of the best platformers of all time, will be any different.

i'm not even trying to start a graphics war, i'm just saying this because the TC made a really dumb comment about a game that won't be out il next year.

Put 200 developers to work on a 360 title for over 4 years and you'll get something that looks better than that, heck it looks good but not the best of consoles' games. People are simply buying the hype, but the game looks like any other console shooter, R2 will probably be better too.
