It's confirmed.
I was hoping for a new setting, WW2 or WW1. Activision sucks.

i'm not even kidding. Saw the article on GS and tossed a huge meh
YES. Based Treyarch.
Just because It's called Black Ops doesn't tell us anything about the setting, btw, Black Ops 1 was Cold War, 2 was near future. 3 could be anything. Stop bitching.

You can clearly see an exosuit.
Also, people just want a good quality campaign set in WW2 like COD 2.
The issue lies in the fact that COD multiplayer is average. Even Titanfall now surpasses it. Only if you don't have an xbone or pc would it suck for a multiplayer FPS player (There's still BF4 even then). Hell, any desktop or latop form the last 7 years can run CS GO, a far superior game.
People "bitch" about COD because it neither delivers on a good single player or multiplayer experience.
Well time to consolites to move on to the next CoD. and then wait for the next one.
time for pc to resub to wow and log back into LoL you people do the same crap too stop attacking ppl
Yup, PC gamers are totally known for moving on to the next new shiny CoD rehash rather than forming potent and lasting communities for good games, resulting in exponentially more strong multiplayer options than any console service....
WTF am I reading.
@deadline-zero0: Har har har
You brought this upon yourself. Still hoping for Persona 5 this year? Good, good. ;)
People that want this series to go back to WW2 are crazy. Like...why? What benefit would that serve to the series at this point. CoD is infinitely more interesting taking place in future timelines.
It's definitely a lot more original and creative instead of fighting Nazis at Normandy for the 20th time.
Didn't even play Black Ops 2 yet and don't plan to do so anytime soon. So, meh.
CoD is a cancer on gaming
Respect level 9000+
@deadline-zero0: It's gonna happen, deadline zebro. It's gonna happen.
sure sure. I'm right there with ya.
No really, i'm with ya.............................just to drink your tears >:)
For those who are saying they wanted WWII -- there was a rather large leak supposedly coming from the source that leaked Ghosts to Drift0r two years ago. It sounds far fetched, but the series has kind of gone off the deep-end in terms of realism these past few titles.
In the leak, the man confirmed the game would be Black Ops III (mind you this was about a month ago) and that it would involve time travel. In order to up the ante, the multiplayer will also involve time-travel and there will be essentially two entirely different multiplayers (if not more) based on the time frame you're playing in. WWII, and the future were the only confirmed ones.
Anyway, take this with a grain of salt, but there was another insider claiming the same thing over a year year ago with a leaked image of a document detailing Black Ops III that looked pretty legit, in fact, it was actually posted on the Black Ops 2 board and not paid much mind. Now this "trusted" insider comes out with the same information, interesting coincidence. Regardless, this guy hit the nail on the head with it being Black Ops III (though that doesn't take a prophet to predict), and he's also supposedly the same guy who knew about Ghosts in advance -- could be true.
Stupid, I skipped on the last three COD games, this will be the fourth. I was actually looking forward to seeing if speculation that World At War 2 was coming panned out, I'd come back into the fold for that.
@jamejame: ick, time travel? I mean I want my return to WW2 setting, but not like this
@charizard1605: Once again, you are the problem.
Needs more dating and high school
ooh burn
@deadline-zero0: Har har har
It was pretty funny though.......
Black Ops 1 was the last good CoD game. Sadly I doubt 3 will be able to touch the greatness of that game.
Will pass like usual unless I hear some really good word about this one.

No way dude it could be awesome!! Get in the machine and you are in COD 2, then MW, then you run into Gordon Freeman or the Master Chief to battle the Helghast.

Meh, I'd consider it, but it's gotta look like they're not just pandering to the MP base of players. That's where my love for the series died. I was into MW MP for a couple months until BFBC release years back, and from then on I was a Battlefield MP focused player. Because I loved the MP I was able to overlook how crap the campaigns have become ever since. However, I supported COD for the SP, which I felt was strong up until after both MW2 and WaW released, I liked both of those, but after playing Black Ops and MW3 I figured they were done making games with decent SP, it was all about the MP. Hell, it seemed like their desire for MP maps dictated the story more than the other way around.
Not that there's anything wrong with COD MP, it's just not my thing. I'm sure these games are great for those that love it though. It's just there's no more value for me as someone who only cared about the SP.

I was obviously joking. I don't think there is anything wrong with SP or MP because entertainment is subjective. I just don't care to spend $60 yearly on it.
Same old, same old... boring!!!!! Sad thing is it will sell like crazy.
I'm done with CoD until they go back to WW1/2.
All I want to know is if it will be cross-gen or if they are putting on the big boy manties and giving Mason an actual proper game. BOPs 1 was a great game so I hope this one is balls-to-the-wall Gen8 so the PC version isn't held back by anything!

Actually, judging from the voice and the mindfuck dialogue, it's definitely the original Mason. So, this is the literal sequel to BOPs 1. I'm calling it.
