- East Hall 8 will be used at Tokyo Big Site

- chance the presentation will contain software with age restrictions

- Nintendo will be putting up a list of playable software and stage times for its hands-on events in Japan

- sessions will be held on both January 14 and January 15

- attendees will be able to take photos and videos inside the exhibition except for the stage shows

I'm cautiously optimistic. For every rumor that brings hope of success for Nintendo and its console there is one that brings fear of another Wii U. Can't wait for the presentation though.

Same here, I think we will be seeing a lot of suppose leaks in the coming days now. Some people are just impatient to wait until next Thursday

I'm super excited for the conference. I have a feeling that Nintendo will knock it out of the park with first party content, but I am still nervous about the third party side of the house. I am predicting at least 3DS level support and maybe a handful of western titles like Skyrim and another Bethesda port but not too much other than that.

i have a more positive feeling for this than i did for the wiiu. nintendo will be completely focused on it. its game selection will be similar to the wiiu and 3DS combined. its going to have quite a few great games on it over its life.

my only concern is the price. they need to get that right. they wont get away with charging 300-400 quid for it. well that and launch games. it needs to keep momentum going.

im also under no illusions though. its not going to be a 3rd party multiplat machine at all. its not a powerhouse either (well its pretty darn powerful for a handheld i suppose). support from western developers is going to be pretty meh if it exists at all.

I'm excited. I hope that they announce more games and the price point. The price point is going to determine if I buy it for my family this Christmas.

I am very interested in the capabilities of this tablet posing as a home console. I know one thing for sure, its going to be entertaining.

Same here, although Nvidia just announced the refresh of their Shield TV, now costing $199.99 USD. I wonder how that will compare to the Nintendo Switch?

Same here, I'm guessing that as well. I believe that Nvidia didn't want to make a Shield TV that would over-shadow the Nintendo Switch and before the presentation

It's gonna be interesting to see what happens for EU now, especially if the Zelda delay is true.

I personally don't see Mario and Zelda both been launch titles, especially when Nintendo has acknowledged that they need to have big games coming at a more consistent pace throughout the year, plus it just seems that one of those should be the big holiday title, which obviously at this point is more likely Mario.
So the question then becomes what on earth is EU gonna have at launch if Zelda misses it? If my theory about Mario for the holidays is true, then the only other launch titles we've heard even rumors of are Splatoon, Skyrim and Just Dance, but there is no way they can launch the console with just that, right? Surely there has to be one other big game for them to confidently delay Zelda, right?

Honestly, part of me is wondering if they'll end up deciding to just delay the Switch indefinitely in EU, and just release it when they know Zelda is going to be ready.

If you go by the LKD rumors, it's called Rabbid's Kingdom Battle, and she says that's she's heard September. Also I've heard it's going to star Yoshi, not Mario.

I will have a beer and chips ready with stream playing on one side of my screen and the forum on the other... I expect many lol's when you people realise just how underpowered it really is and how little of a library it will have, I expect Zelda to be the only real focus.

I said it once and I'll say it again, Nintendo kept Zelda back for the Wii just like they did for this Tablet because they have nothing else to get people hyped. I CANNOT WAIT for the fanboys down playing the inevitable joke coming our way.

Are you completely ignorant of information and or the reality of hardware?... The Switch is tablet using existing hardware that is HIGHLY under powered for a home console. Future games will struggle to run at acceptable performance and with Nintendo user base sales for third parties will be poor as usualy meaning NO third party support which then will of course mean that Nintendo has to provide games for the core gamers who buy the console and if the past 10 years are anything to go by they just are incapable of providing the audience with lots of games, Wii U gamers are heavily deprived just like the Wii gamers.

At least if you buy a X1 or PS4 when there are no exclusives you can buy one of HUNDREDS of third party games... You lack that option with the Nintendo.

I was hoping Nintendo would realise that if the hardware was on par then they would get a LOT more third party multiplatform games but nope they decided to go a tablet route... Which I believe Mario Run was a tester for them, I can imagine lots of tablet like games from Nintendo hitting the Switch.

No shit! No one ever told you to not play a game that isn't very good looking. But saying that a graphically impressive title is automatically a gimmicky title is as ignorant as it gets. Was TW3 a gimmick game? Was Doom a gimmick game? They both looked good and guess what? Offered excellent gameplay as a bonus. Good graphics+good gameplay will permanently shit on a game that has ugly graphics+good gameplay.
