Ok fellow SystemW arriors, this year has come to an end, and almost all of the major games have been released.

So it's now that time of the year when we allsquabble and argue amongst ourselves, discussing as to whether our favourite games shall get those revered honors- The Game of the Year Awards.

Yeah, according to the score here, it is the logical choice for the category. But GOTY selection is officially not beholden to scores, and there's always the possibility that everyone at GS except Luke Anderson loved Halo Wars.

I'm gonna assume you typed 'quality' wrong, because no one said or played the game for the realism. I personally think the combat was done very well in kilzone 2, and is perhaps the main accomplishment that makes it stand out of the shooter crowd. And the single player is...well one of those games that just wants the player to play it as a 'game', and not some revolutionary story-driven experience or anything like that.

And the thing about originality has been long debated here. Lack of originality is still better than failing to be a good game. Would you stop playing MW2 due to its lack of innovation? Of course you wouldn't.

I'm not sure if you've really played killzone 1 before, but I assure you the difference betwen kz1 and kz2 is a lot bigger than mw1 and mw2.

Well Modern Warfare 2 just came out so I'm sure people are still judging it, and New Super Mario Bros Wii and Assassin's Creed have yet to come, I think we should at least wait until December.
