The Official Unhyping of Socom Confrontation

Yes, W1NGMAN- is unhyping Socom Confrontation. This user once believed the game would be able to achieve a rating of 7.5-8.0...now I see nothing above 6.5....

Why you ask? Because it looks like utter crap, that's why. The animations are weak, the character models are weak, the enviorment looks like an embarrassment, the shooting mechanics look clunky....

NOTHING stands out about this game.

*Note this really isn't a serious "official unhyping" thread, just taking a different approach to share my dislike of what I've seen so far in Socom Confrontation.

You haven't seen the lastest trailer, my God man it's freakin horrible. I was so looking forward to a current gen Socom game to :(:evil:

I like the way it looks , but we will get a better sense of how fun it is in the beta. Right now , A-AA hype it is.

The screen shots DO look pretty bad, which is a shame because I originally thought it looked pretty fun. I never had a PS2 until recently so I never played the prior SOCOM games. Maybe this one will pull through.creeping-deth87

All I kept thinking was, it'll get better, it'll get better....but nothing seems to change...I'M PRAYING that these are just some super early builds of the game that they're showing off and if not...it's too little too late now.

I wasn't initialy impressed with socom but I just downloaded the trailer in hd on my ps3. I think it looks better then I thought it was gonna be. The trail was a little bit blurry and the textures didn't look that great but it was a trailer not a finished product. The way I see it is the game will probobly be more polished. I'm gonna wait for reviews before I comit to buying it. But the trailer defenetly caught my attention.

god some of the animations are horrible. the game doesnt even look like it fits into this generation. when i first saw it and thought it looked horrible i just thought it was a really really early build. apparently notblues35301

Seems the beta has been delayed. Sept 12th for Qore users. I bought that issue of Qore just for the beta :(

I dont know what it is that people dont understand about Socom. Its all about the gameplay. The first 2 didnt even look that good for PS2. Yet it was pretty much the best online shooter ever. And for Zipper to listen to the fans and bring that feel back (says everyone whos played the beta). It looks to be the biggest online game this generation.

I dont know what it is that people dont understand about Socom. Its all about the gameplay. The first 2 didnt even look that good for PS2. Yet it was pretty much the best online shooter ever. And for Zipper to listen to the fans and bring that feel back (says everyone whos played the beta). It looks to be the biggest online game this generation.

Socom is the end all TPS. End of story. O and, btw, there is an over the shoulder view..... but have fun gettin rocked by players that can see 90% more than you can.

Youve made it pretty clear your an xbox man with an undying passion for Gears.... Gears is awesome, but its online can suck it when socom comes out.

EDIT: They are heavily influencing pretty much every aspect of it. And most of the people with socom 2 are on this team. They asked their fans what they wanted... and everyone whos played it says they have delivered

huh:question: The only system i own is a PS3 with 10 games. I hail MGS4 as GOTY and console graphics king, and you call me a 360/gears fanboy? I like gears solely for single player mode. Is that what it looks like when playing console FPS's, If somone did that while playing online pc game they would be destroyed. The player looks like he is on a rail and moves around so slow and unnatrual. Maybe that guy is just terrible.
