Im curious after that killer movie of Old Republic on G4 (im sure you can see it elsewhere) and the spec list of things slated for this game, such as thousands of lines of dialogue, new planets, just the incredible scope and ambition of the masters at BioWare trying to tell an actual compelling story in an MMO format. I was wondering if you think that BioWare is in the process of making the best MMO of all time... Why or why not?

If Bioware wanted to make it a succesfull MMO, they most certainly can, it will depend on how much time and content will be shipped at launch, and if it's stable at launch if it will succeed or not. I have great hopes for this game, coming from a galaxies pre-level vet.

It has to move the WoW community. If it can, then it will be greatly successful.

Eh as long as it can move a fraction of the WoW community, it would be successful. 10 million subs is really too high to expect for any new mmo.

If anyone can do it, Bioware can. I also enjoyed SWG before it was ruined, and I really really hope Bioware gets this right.

I also had the same high hopes for AoC and we all know how that turned out. Best advice is to wait and see.

EA have the money to pump into it, and i remeber reading that someone at EA said it would take at least 500 million to build a game that couldcompete with WoW at this stage in its life. If they go into this seriously they could pull it off.

Time will tell :)

Naw, FFXIV is gonna kill it. :P Honestly, I don't know. I think it deserves to succeed though. Jedi > anything in warcraft.

The Best of all time is saying a bit much this early. Heres what we do know BioWare sure does know how to make some good games. And the Star Wars Lore Is a vastand well tested genre.

Offa that and that alone i will be tring it personally day 1 so ask me that same question 1 week from launch
