if there was one thing that you must have in next generation consoles what would it be??

what would u guys like?? i would personally like there to be more online players on the next xbox. no more pc players telling me that im missing out =[

User upgradable hard drives (desktop sized). Downloadable versions of all retail games, and the retail games come in DS-sized cartridges (no spinning discs). Maybe some sort of trackpad on the controller as an alternative to the dual sticks.

And for there to be a policy that the game can't be released on the system if it has a lot of performance problems and/or bugs. Quality control is really crap this gen.

As for games, lower budget games with less emphasis on cinematics and more on gameplay. Make the games run smoothly please.

This man deserves praise...that's exactly what modern video gaming needs.

...But as for the consoles themselves, I don't really care what we get, as long as the games are unique and engaging.

we don't need next-gen for anything on that poll. We already have massive games like MAG with 256 players and 64 players on Resistance 1 & 2, cloud is possible on current gen but is costly and Digital Distribution is not a good thing... And avatar like graphics? The hell... Cross platform play is possible but MS will never allow it since you have to pay for XBL and play against a free services like PSN? Rip-off...

If the next-gen consoles add universal keyboard/mouse support, I'm in as in the majority of my gaming will be in consoles. Otherwise, I'd still be pretty selective on what games I play on consoles and PC (which right now is heavily skewed towards the PC).

I would like them to give me the kind of experience that previous gens gave me before,not a somewhat similar experience to PC gaming as they kind of try to do now(at least the HD twins),if you know what I mean.

Toy Story was released over 15 years ago and we are not even close to 30FPS rendering that looks that good.

Non of those options are important to me on next generation consoles. I actually don't want next generation consoles and I want game developers to just focus on making games for the PC since a decent PCis very affordable these days that can play games and most people should have a PC. Also you would not have to worry about getting a poor port of a game doing it this way and you can always upgrade if you want a better frame rate and if you can afford to.

I don game online and i would rather have games like Dark Souls to play forever, than better looking games that i will not even want to rent

All those are gimmicks to me, i would rather developers made games and not try to make movies and forget what gameplay really is all about

Whatever makes it so that there are lot of things on screen happening like assassins creed but more. I'm kind of sick of games with amazing settings but that get boring and are empty like Kingdom Hearts. I think it's RAM but I don't really know.

I want the huge budgets going for making better graphics, go to making far better gameplay and game design instead

Fun and innovating games that keep the market competitive as opposed to making clones.

Why not feel this way, when Dark Souls is the best game i have played the last 10 years by a huge margin and is nothing special visually

That only makes me think games that go for graphics spend little of their budget in making amazing gameplay, depth and design

This will only get worst next gen that graphics bar will be raised even more, we will get more casual and movie like "games" and the gaming i want will even less than this generation

It is not that i dont want better graphics, it is that better graphics make for far worst and more casual/shallow/risk free games
