If you could have only one system, and you couldn't have illegal copies of games, which system would you choose?
Any generation counts.

This is going to make me sound like more of a cow than I am, but I'm going to have to go with a PS2 backward compatible PS3.
The PS2 has a massive library, and the PS3 has Metal Gear Solid 4. I'm a big MGS fan, so the PS3 covers my gaming needs on that side of the spectrum.
However, if I'm stuck in a situation where I have a lot of time on my hands and I could only have one system, I'd probably go with the PC, since you can waste a lifetime on MMORPGs. I would only pick this situation if I was doomed to be locked in a room with nothing but the system though.
That's a tough one. It would be a Wii, I think, because I can play Wii and GCN games as well a OoT remakes for the GCN and a lot of other old Nintendo Titles. But I have a Wii now and I don't feel like spending too much on it.
If I had no choice and had no PS3, I'll get a lot of old Nintendo games.
N64 and PS3 would be next options.
Not all of them. The first gen isn't covered. Cherokee_JackYou know what I meant. lol I'll change that to, "It's the only console that covers several generations of gaming" Just look at it this way.... C64 + Mega Drive + NeoGeo + Master System + TG-16 + NES + SNES + N64 + Gamecube + Wii games The PS2 had a ton of games but I'm not sure a PS3 with BC can compete with that. :P
Yea I'd have to say Xbox or Nintendo 64, I've always been a big fan of the KOTOR and used to be a star fox fan as well, then that one retarded one came out...assault I believe it was called.moose_knucklerKOTOR was on the PC as well, and it had a lot shorter loading times (If your PC didn't suck that is.)

[QUOTE="Master-Thief-09"]Personal Computer.AlexSaysI thought the title said "console" :? The OP said system.

It has most of the games I care about from previous generations...
And even a lot that I don't care about:
I think I've said it enough today that Nintendo games really wear out for me, I can't play them more than once. Having played most of them, I could do without them... Except maybe Star Tropics.
[QUOTE="AlexSays"][QUOTE="Master-Thief-09"]Personal Computer.Cherokee_JackI thought the title said "console" :? The OP said system. Indeed. But fine, I would choose the Wii because it would have my favourite franchises, and epic backwards compatibility (which is why I said PC)

That's A LOT of games.... Though I think the Wii with the VC and being able to play Gamecube games would be a tough opponent as well
PC duh it gets the best versions of most everything it also has the best support and, well, modsshadow_hosiBut what if your favorite games are platformers, JRPG's, Sports games, and fighting games? It's hard to choose a PC over a console in this case, mods or not.

Oh, hey, did you know that Ogre Battle was on the PS1?

The VC also doesnt have Chrono Trigger, and probably never will... I actually have the PS1 disc for that.
[QUOTE="Kahuna_1"]Heh, but that would fall into the category of "Illegal"PS3...I would play all the PS2 and PS1 games and then I would install Linux and emulate Gamecube(would probably run like crap), N64, SNES, NES, and GB games because there are too many good ones.
mstc_Q
Haha, its not illegal if no one knows.

Kind of like using key loggers to steal people's bank accounts, right? It's still illegal.Wii
You get it all. Games, BC, VC, WiiWare, Nintendo exclusives, games the entire family can enjoy, free online, best controller/accessories, no RROD/YLOD, sleek/compact, less expensive games, unique Wii Channels (Forecast, News, Mii, Vote), and as of now it's the hippest console.
