The one TRUE thing that makes XBL better than PSN

Let me start by saying I do not own a 360, nor do I care to. I think XBL is a waste of money as well. I own a PS3.

XBL is truely better though for one very reason.

THE REAL REASON ISN'T THAT MORE PEOPLE HAVE MICS ON XBL, IT'S THAT THE OVERALL QUALITY OF THE MICS ARE ABSOLUTE CRAP ON PSN!

I play on PSN a lot on COD4 and sometimes it drives me insane how bad some of the people's mics are. It's rediculous. It sucks when you have a bluetooth headset in your ear with the volume all the way up and some idiot comes in the lobby with nothing but static noise loud as hell blowing your ear drums out and you cant mute them for some reason because the geniuses at IW decided to leave that out of the game.

I'm getting a headache just thinking about it. It seems like at least half of the people on PSN that bought mics bought them at a dollar store. Background noise, static white noise, feedback, echoes, crappy music playing in the background... you name it. That's about all you hear aside from the occasional annoying voice. Also it seems like 30% or more of the voices in PSN aren't even english anyways.

Most people that have Mics just talk crap, play music, scream like girls, curse at you when playing. Nothing that would really make your gaming a greater experience.

I'm in a swedish clan and we all have mics, though i turn off my mic when i'm not playing with them.

More times than not, the lack of mics altogether make playing online with PS3 more enjoyable to me, as I don't play many team based games. Obviously, in something like Team Fortress 2, you need the mics, so the 360 version is better. But I'd rather play something like Soul Calibur 4 on PS3, to avoid hearing the constant "WHY U USE SAME MOVE SO MUCH U SUCK!" whining from losers who don't know how to play the game.CronoSquall

Team Fortress 2 is only good on PC.

I've never played a FPS on PC, and find TF2 perfectly playable on the X360 compared to other FPS on the console.

bluetooth mics fail, but everyone has them, but alot of ppl are using warhawk blueooth mics which are good, soon socom i hear quitly are good...i use my usb mic its clear

honestly, this is coming from someone who has owned both systems since day 1 launch. 360's online is far superior to psn. it does obviously have something to do with cost, because like everyone says "you get what you pay for". and indeed you do, when it comes to online service competition between both systems. xbox live is far superior to the psn, they have been around longer (since first xbox) than the psn has and has improved greatly over the years. although, what would make an even better competition, is if xbox live service went free. if that happens, psn is toast, literallycharomid

The real reason xbox live is better every xbox360 comes with a mic well maybe not arcade edition but all 20gb and others do.

Also you are paying for the service so you will beable to play the game years down the road...while ps3 games devs have to host the servers themselves .

Example you can still play xbox 1# xbox live launch titles like unreal championship 1# online while ps2 games first one was tony hawk proskater3 you cannot play it online because gamespy took down the servers to use it for other future games.

xbox live is a actual service.

playstation network isnt, voice chat isnt standardized games like f.e.a.r and call of duty 3 on ps3 dont even support voice chat.

That's not a good reason.

The reason for me is that all my friends have Live, not PSN.

Whoa... mics are for trashtalking and making everyone else listen to your music, which is no doubt bad, and then making them listen to your annoying voice, at least that is what happens everytime I hear somebody using one.

The quality of the mics for the xbox is pissy by the way. Better doesn't mean good so don't get ahead of yourself.

I just prefer the franchises because they are exclusive to the Sony console.Jared2720

Halo doesn't interest me. Gears of War doesn't interest me. Forza doesn't interest me. On and on and on...

I bought a PS3 for MGS4, LittleBigPlanet, Uncharted, GT5, God of War, Final Fantasy XIII (before it was announced to be multiplatform), Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds, and MLB 08: The Show. I just prefer the franchises that are exclusive to the Sony console. If that makes me fanboy, fine.

The Xbox 360 has great games, they're just not my cup of tea. Not that it matters to you, though--you don't listen to reason.
