I have researched this on the xbox360 forums. Most people buyed a xbox360 because it was the only next gen console out suring the time. It was less exspensive than the ps3 and seriously it could not have been because of the games.

All of those games came out a year after the launch of the xbox360
i bought my 360 for Fable2 in August 2006. To my pleasent suprise- it came out with great games. I currently own 14 360 games and have traded in a bunch too.
360 has good games, that's why people by this GAMING system
Condemned, Kameo ( like but dont love it) and PD0 had a killer MP ( for a console game) and was a blast to co-op online. Dead or Alive 4 is by far the best DOA game and the only one I realy like.

I despise resistance. I felt like it was turn corner, shoot bad guy, repeat. I know all shooters can be reduced to that but I just hate resistance. And the MP is absurd, partly do to the awful community though.
couldnt have been the fact that gears destroyed RFOM in a head to head comparison I did before buying.. couldnt have been that halo 3 is still and epic multiplayer game, couldnt have been Forza 2... 2 years before GT5.. couldnt have been, I wanted next gen now instead of next year.

Couldn't have been because of the games is a figure of speech meaning xbox360 games arn't that good compared to the ps3 .Also all of those saying Resistence sucks wait for the sequal.

Wouldn't you guys defend a game you like and Resistence is a good because first I played the the game and thought it was great. Second a good story and also One of the only games you could play on during the launch of the ps3. I am not a cow I don't even know what the hermits lemmings and that stuff mean I just Like playing games.
Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the 360 have the highest games attached rate for the 3 current gen consoles. If the 360 owners didn't buy the 360 for games but are buying the most games, what have PS3 owners bought therePS3's for as there not buying games.
I've had my PS3 5 days and I'll put my hand up and say the main reason I got mine was for the Blu-ray function having waited for a format war winning and at the price of the PS3 it's the best value blu-ray player out there and I get the a console thrown in. I'll buy good PS3 exclusives (i.e Uncharted & Motorstorm) but 90% of my multiplat games will be on the 360.

Well then compare the 360 year one games with the PS3 year one games. You can flip your argument and say that the PS3 had an extra year of development for its launch and year one games and still more 360 year one games score higher. Go figure.

The only reason they pay Kobe Bryant millions is he can play basketball. The only reason dogs lick themselves is they can't operate a shower. The only reason you're allowed a computer is because they're scared you'd poke your eye out with a pencil.
My point is... "The Only Reason" doesn't matter. Xbox 360 has lots of great games. We don't care why it does. It just does. So when you grow up a little bit, feel free to come back to the adult's table. We're looking forward to you managing to say something without inserting your foot in your mouth.
The launch titles were pretty bad. I have no idea why i got a launch 360, I only got a 360 for Halo and Rare games but I have been pleasently surprised with the amount of quality games on the console
