The Order kills Quantum Break before UC4 does

Just once can you @gpuking please post an in game shot from a game in play not a clucking cut scene or photo-mode shot. On that point, despite asking you on many, many occasions you have never posted a single screenshot, from the order where the whole scene is in focus. Why is that?

Why are we complimenting The Order? It was horrendous. It looks awesome, but is that really the standard gamers are looking for? The game sucks.

The Order might look "better", but I'm almost 100% positive that QB will be the much better game... so whatevs.

Are there good graphics there? My vision seems to be very blurry all of the sudden.

That's garbage, also it's hardly fanboyism either way at this point since it's coming to pc so there can't really be any gain for insulting or dick riding it.

Uncharted 4 and Quantum Break will sell well but they are some of the least interesting/fun titles of this year.

Persona 5, Horizon Zero Dawn, The Last Guardian (probably), Yakuza Kiwami (already), Yakuza 6, Gravity Rush 2, Ni-Oh, Dreams (Depending onplayer base), Ratchet and Clank, Nier Automata, Alienation, Matterfall, The World of Final Fantasy, and Shadow of the Beast should all be massively more fun to play games, some are objectively going to be so.

If you're going to dick ride the xbox one's non true exclusives against true ps4 exclusives, then at least use a game that is going to be fun. Heck you would have been better off even using cuphead.

probably not that hard to make a game look good when you put all money into that and that alone, completely at the expense of the gameplay

Quantum Break looks better than The Order. And it will be a drastically better game. Same for Uncharted 4.

Obviously, thats what happens when you choose innovative gameplay over graphics.

It may not be as good looking as the Order but at least the gameplay won't be as shallow.

i don't care about the graphics, really interested in how the time mechanic will work out.

The Order 1886 is the best looking game across all platforms, I played it, it's basically CGI quality

This is how TO looks during gameplay, and not only QB but TR, Battlefront, Unreal, and Witcher3 on ultra all look better.

Who the hell cares? These games are just a bunch of scripted event corridor shooters, lame and played out as hell. And graphically speaking, they're all bested by other games. I mean even with it's downgrade, Division on PC has effects like true dynamic volumetric lighting across a mile of landscape. I can't even begin to give a shit about the Order's graphics after seeing that kind of thing. Not to mention upcoming games like SC or UT.

Quantum Break is more impressive than The Order. Raw graphics QB isn't far behind The Order and it does it without the black bars plus is has those amazing particle effects which only Infamous Second Son can claim anything comparable.

All in all QB is more impressive graphical game even if The Order has a slight edge in raw graphical quality. I am not sure how Uncharted 4 will stack up however but it is also a very impressive graphical game.

Why are some people still refusing photomode shots? They're the same just without a HUD, different camera angle and zoom. The game clearly does everything all seamlessly.

You're not knowledgeable of the technology you're discussing, you think that 800p is some kind of negative connotation and are getting clearly upset over it. The game is displaying in a 2.40:1 aspect ratio with 800 horizontal lines of vertical resolution under progressive scan. This maintains the pixel dimensions both horizontally and vertically to fit natively with the display's pixel aspect ratio. However since it's only displaying 800 horizontal lines of vertical resolution under progressive scan it is 800p.

480p, 720p, 1080p, 1440p, 2160p are designations of the x-axis line count on the y-axis with progressive scan, The Order is 800; it's 800p. In order for The Order to be 1080p under its current aspect ratio it would have to be displaying a resolution of 2592x1080, that would make it 1080p, however it's 1920x800.

We're not having an argument here, you're wrong, there's nothing to discuss.

Thr Order is 1080p in 21:9 format ratio. PERIOD! That's a standard. Black bars are PART of the image. So, the picture is 1080p cuz ( this is the most important part ) NOTHING IS UPSCALED, nothing. It's not 1080p, those black bars are not a part of the game render, they just fill in the render gap, it's only rendering 1920x800.

As you can see, on an ultrawide display the black bars are no longer present, because it's only rendering a 2.40:1 aspect ratio at 1920x800, it's 800p.

Jesus christ dude, the TV is filling in that gap with black pixels because the incoming signal is only 1920x800 and there's nothing to fill the gap, the game is not rendering those bars...

Try to understand this, it's empty space... No one is saying it's upscaled because it's not, it's only rendering 1920x800, it's 800p.

The Order can render at 1920 x 1080 any time it wanted as confirmed by the lead programmer, it's also rendering 4xmsaa on top of post AA so effectively it's more burdening on the engine than a generic 1080p. Using the black bars to undermine its tech prowess doesn't make any sense in this case. The game doesn't upscale, the pixel is 1:1 native so it always retains the sharpness and pixel density.

It's the same as if you took a 16:9 game and played it on a 21:9 ultrawide monitor, it would add black bars to the sides because the render cuts off at 1920 vertical lines when the monitor has 2560 lines, this cuts off horizontally at 800 lines for a display that has 1080 lines.

Halo 5's 810p is a lower resolution than The Order's 800p because Halo 5's vertical resolution is also lower, it's running at 1152x810 which is 933,120 pixels. The Order's 800p presentation is 1920x800 which is 1,536,000 pixels. The Order has a higher resolution that Halo 5 when it drops to 810p even though The Order itself is 800p...

Stop being an idiot and read what is being said, it's beyond simple, 800p simply means that the render output is 800 horizontal lines of vertical resolution in progressive scan... Halo 5 with its dynamic resolution drops to a low of 810 horizontal lines of vertical resolution in progressive scan which makes it 810p. That doesn't mean it has a higher overall resolution, try to understand this...
