"The PC Gaming Show" Returns to E3

Last years show, which ran for almost 3 hours with 1 PC game, a bunch of consoles ports and Phil Spencer forced into mimicking human mannerisms, will return.

Such a terrible show. This is super surprising.

They need it. They need to show off their good games more. Its hard for PC to advertise since they arent one big company, but if they can come together it could be big.

Can't be worse than any of the Sony press conferences the last 3 years

Surprised there's gonna be another. Last year's was better than I expected, I thought it was gonna be filled with nothing but PC Master Race back-padding cringe. But it was terrible in a different way with how it was too long, filled with AMD product placement, people showing up with an interview with nothing to show and it showcased the indie games that arent the best ones on the platform.

Hopefully they can improve on it this year.

I loved last years show, I thought it was crack up, everyone was hyped for Gaben to show up HAHA, the presenter was great and looked like he "winged" it all instead of being a stiff business man reading from a prompter. AMD showed up and had a quantum PC on show with their then yet to be released 390 Fury. The show was hype.

Last show was indeed HORRIBLE. I hope they come up with a better format and with better news and announcements.

Last year was a good start,but i feel it should be more focused on games and not hardware.

@sailor232: I agree with this, the presenter at least felt like a real person than some dickhead moving his arms like C3PO reading carefully rehearsed slop read with the conviction and earnest of OJ Simpsons lawyers.

Overall, he was good for what he had to deal with i.e. Very little....

For a PC show, last year's show was was very low profile but it was still fun and had a lot of potential, so I'm happy about this. Less shit this time would be good. Well E3 already is a big PC gaming show. Because they run all of the console demos off more powerful PCs. :D

They really screwed up especially when there was PC games such as XCOM 2 and Fortnite at E3 but weren't at the PC gaming show. They also need to get rid of devs that are going to show off their games at the console E3s first. Since they announced this show so soon I assume they're now talking to devs and hopefully making sure devs of games still in development won't reveal too much in the months inbetween now and E3 so they have something to show and talk about that will keep the audience interested and not something that could of been saved for an article.

I wonder what they'll show, what I can assume is

CCPs shooter for EVE Universe for PC

Paradox and Obsidian announces Vampire Masquerade game, some expansion to Pillars of Eternity

Chris Roberts shows of some new Squadron 42 singleplayer and Star Citizen features

Tripwire shows of Rising Storm 2 Vietnam and a Killing Floor 2 update

these are pretty much the only devs I could see returning from last year

they should be trying to get games like Underworld: Ascedant, The Bards Tale 4, Lost Ark, Umbra, Rising Thunder, Unreal Tournament, Fortnite, Dreadnought, Divinity Orginal Sin 2, P.A.M.E.L.A., Battletech, Escape From Tarkov, Mount Blade 2, and Inner Chains at their show.

When this happens the entire PC community will explode.

Yeah, the E3 Press Conference for PC was simply bad last year. Hopefully it doesn't advertise one hardware company, and show some of the big PC exclusives coming out this year, alongside some never before seen games, and maybe something running off of the Skylake/Pascal and Zen/Polaris combos.

The last (and first) time they did it, it was extremely dry, awkward, and felt like nothing more than an afterthought.

Hopefully they don't double down on this, yes?

Last year was horrible, they even barley cover anything worth a damn and Gamespot suck as well for not ever reporting anything worth a damn as well, I'm not expecting much this years PC show.

Last year's show was terrible because it was first time and they didn't have enough time to call different developers. Hopefully they will take feedback seriously and this year the show will be better. BTW didn't uninspiredcup say that the show was great last year?

PC Gaming Show ... what do you mean ? aha you're talking about last year's AMD Show :P , ... well all joking aside you can't expect too much from a news bulletin like PCG however I'm really excited for the games they're going to announce ....

Anyway, I liked Bethesda's and PC gamers show most of all last year. At least they had 2 announcement of games I'm very much looking forward to. That's Dishonored II and Rising Storm 2.

Hmm, dunno bout the overall hate, Last years show was a pretty bad one yeah, but the first from those people, a first attempt, anyone remember Sonys or MS first one? XD

But it DOES need to improve, and no matter how long it was it FELT long, too long, in truth you don't need a long show to make it feel too long, but they managed both, which was almost impressive, I liked the host and the underlying idea. But they need to learn the ropes, so happy to see it back.

Also happy to see Bethesda having a show of sorts again :) Honestly outside of EA sneaking out (yeah it is a bit sad) I think that E3 might be freakin great this year ^^

E3 in general is a joke it is all hype showing games that don't come out for 3 years some don't even come out for 5 years+ but PC can do a good E3 if they show the right games there are loads of games they could show

cool. i enjoyed last years showing. it was a bit long but as a first run it was great. no shortage of things to show mind. it also required a bit of an adjustment as it was more of a chat than a show.

and, again, i take my hat off to AMD for backing it last year and hope they continue to do so and more PC companies get involved. it's everyones platform so more should get stuck in (stop snickering down back! :P).

That show was bad, sorry, nothing to do with the PC platform as it is the production of the show,.
