with all this talk about how much more expensive games will be for devs nex gen i really hope MS, Sony and Nintendo don't up the antee with the hardware too much. something with 1GB RAM or 2GB and a decent dual core CPU should be fine for me.

When we were buying games for the NES, new ones would cost anyone from $40 - $50 brand new. If the games kept pace with inflation, they would literally cost anywhere from 72.00 to 90.00 now. Add into that that the cost of developing a lot of these games is increasing dramatically, and you would realize that gaming is cheaper now than it was in the past.
To build on what Darth-Psychosis posted,take a look at what's going on with the PS3 to see what happens when a console becomes harder to develop for. Next generation's systems, if they take another massive leap, are going to become ungodly expensive for developers. So you're either going to see a lot fewer games, or the cost of a particular game to go even higher per unit than they are now.
