You can't get honest info.

I guess I'm accusing this community and the proprietors of this siteof bias against the Wii. If you're coming here looking for information about Wii games, my advice is to go elsewhere. All the criticisms are exaggerated to the point that you can't find what you need. I think the recent "The Conduit" review got under my skin a little - it just gets old.

This site, and most others don't favor the Wii in general. Frankly, I don't really care if most of the patrons of this site love the other consoles, but it makes it difficult to get good information on the Wii games. TheWii is a completely different product, and can't really be compaired to the 360 or PS3 or vice versa.

Still, this is my favorite gaming site. I just like the way it's put together.

or maybe the conduit just isnt a very good game? it only has a 73 percent on gamerankings, gamespot wasnt too far off. the problem for wii fans is that the wii has more crap games than any other system by far, and the good ones come too far apart from each other or are rehashes of old games.

Well, if you hate a console (or fail to see the value in one), you've definitely been brain-washed to a degree.

Gloves off..

Every console other than the Wii is a retread of old technology. Worse yet, they're drastically overpriced pieces of crap that offer nothing new or different from the last generation. That is why both Sony and MS are scrambling to come up with their own versions of the Wii-mote. They know they gambled and lost.

Nope, I don't hate the Wii, I just don't care about it... and no, it's no brainwash, it's a matter of personal tastes.

lol who's hating now??

BTW, the reason on why Sony and MS are paying attention to the motion sensing stuff is because they realize the huge pile of cash Nintendo is getting from all those games even if they are shovelware... because it's the Wii!! who cares if it's mostly shovelware when it's revolutionary, right??

The problem with the Conduit is that HVS delivered on its promise of having multiplayer, technical graphics, and great controls, but it lacks an identity of its own. The Conduit have a solid foundation to build on, it just need an identity.

If you want good controls, good graphics, and a solid multiplayer, it's a game that I would recommend to you. Otherwise, it's better to wait for a sequel and hope that HVS works on the AI and breathe some swagger into the series.

Why should we care about the Wii? It's not even a real console. Wii games are not even real games. Wii gamers are not even real gamers. Only Xbox 360 and PS3 are real consoles with real gamers playing real games.

This is BS. Every generation has improved upon gaming through increased capabilities of more advanced systems. Nintendo Wii used old technology, and applied motion technology to it. But it didn't make anything "new" or "different" either, it just copy pasted motion tech onto previously upheld gaming conventions, with a few exceptions like trauma center. It's even more apparent when two of the most acclaimed wii games are last gen ports with copy pasted motion tech, or look at the Wii's flagship Zelda title - which is a Zelda game with relatively useless motion tech applied to it.

No, gaming is definitely moving forward with Son and Microsoft; don't delude yourself into thinking otherwise.

I bought an arcade but then I had to buy a HD so that kind of pushes the price above a wii.

The Conduit has gotten consistently bad reviews from many sites - I don't think that points to a Gamespot bias.

Maybe GS just thinks the games suck, jeez fanboys are so annoying especially Nintendo ones. Its not MS or Sony's fault that the Wii cant hold up with Disk space or graphics or 3rd party support or online- its Nintendos and obviously they dont need any of that to make a buck- if your happy you have a wii then join club nintendo, read nintendo power, and find a nintendo forum were all the sheep go to talk about how great the wii is so that they can all feel better about the money they spent and can be free to talk about the next mario game without getting bashed since its so hard to deal with big mean reviewers... "WAAAHHH" sheep whine too much...

That is somewhat BS. PS3 used to have Backwards compatibility, which is old technology. Sorry, but the Wii is not alone here.

GS is harsh on games from all systems, I don't think they're biased. In fact, didn't they give Mario Galaxy GOTY over Bioshock, Crysis, Halo 3, and CoD4? NMH, Zack & Wiki, Tiger Woods '10, and Ghostbusters were all acknowledge for their Wii specific benefits, when the same games without the Wiimote would/did score lower.

I'm very happy that GS is back to being overly critical towards games like the old days.

I only use Gamespot because of its organized forums, I use IGn for previews, reviews, and other info.

This. Gamespot is terrible to look at for news and reviews as they are so slow, biased or otherwise.

This. I only go to Gamespot for forums, but I go to IGN for reviews and that stuff. I don't like how they organize they're forums at IGN, though.

Yea Gamespot's given too many wii games poor reviews they're clearly out to get the platform.

Who cares if they gave Mario Galaxy GOTY in 2007 they aren't allowed to flop the conduit! IGN is clearly correct for giving the game a higher score!

This is BS. Every generation has improved upon gaming through increased capabilities of more advanced systems. hakanakumono

MOAR POWAHHHH!!!

Nintendo Wii used old technology, and applied motion technology to it. But it didn't make anything "new" or "different" either, it just copy pasted motion tech onto previously upheld gaming conventions, with a few exceptions like trauma center. It's even more apparent when two of the most acclaimed wii games are last gen ports with copy pasted motion tech, or look at the Wii's flagship Zelda title - which is a Zelda game with relatively useless motion tech applied to it. hakanakumono

1- Wii came with Wii Sports. It provided motion based gameplay out-of-the-box on a mainstream console. It was NEW

2- What are these two most acclaimed last gen ports with motion pasted on?

3- Zelda TP is a Gamecube game adapted to the Wii. Everyone knows this (not you apparently) and nintendo never tried to hide it.

Try harder next time

No, gaming is definitely moving forward with Son and Microsoft; don't delude yourself into thinking otherwise.hakanakumono

No its not, its completely stagnating and colapsing on itself because of them, dont delude yourself.

And if you want me to really nail the coffin on this one, look at Natal and Sony's Wand.
