The PS2 was really really bad.

With the exception of GOW, the Ps2 was awful. Filled with crap, the only good games were ported from the Dreamcast. And GTA3 was horrible.

So, everyone knows it sold the most because of the dvd player and Grand Theft Auto, which is a shame, because the Dreamcast games blow them out of the water.

You should blame Sega and not Sony for killing the Dreamcast... I owned DC as well, awesome system but im not blaming Sony cuz Sega didnt have money to support it.

I don't remember the DreamCast having great titles like: MGS2,3, Persona 3,4, ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, Okami, Dark Cold 1,2, Final Fantasy X,XII, Valkyrie Profile 2, Odin Sphere, Shin Megami Tensei 3, Digital Devil Saga 1,2, Silent Hill 2,3 and so much more. The DreamCast was a good system but it has nothing on the PS2 esspecially JRPG wise

lol why play tony hawk proskater 2 on dreamcast? when the tony hawk proskater 3 on ps2 had online support...and was just a better games all around.

the dreamcast had advantages like beingable to play quake 3 and unreal tournament 1999 online...while ps2 versions had better graphics sony didnt have network adapter out at the time so shipped without online support.

socom 1/2 i know kick ass....i know 3 probley kicked ass also.

ps2 had some great games.

That still pisses me off to this day....i really wished the ps2 versions of quake 3 arena and unreal tournament 1999 supported online play. i think the ps2 version of ut1999 might look better than the pc version in some aspects i forgot.

quake 3 kicked ass because they added exclusive content for ps2 version man.

i wish they'd release these games on playstation 3 network with online play that would **** rule.

I think the ps2 version of unreal tournament 1999 is a direct port of pc with some graphical improvements from what i remember.

but no online play.

the dreamcast version would of been a direct port of pc...but the dreamcast didnt have enough main/cpu memory to hold the game's assault mode maps too large to fit in the memory...so to make up for it they made a bunch of exclusive dreamcast unreal tournament 1999 maps they kicked ass game supported 8 players online.

you can no longer play it online though because gamespy shut down the master server those sorry bastards.

Sony needs to give quake 3 and unreal tournament 1999 another chance :) lol release them with online play on playstation network for ps3.

3drealms...just released duke nukem 3d for xbox360 with online play.....so why shouldnt sony try to do the same with some ps2 classics? just update them alittle add online play maybe improve graphics alittle? hell i dont care they'd be cool to give playstation gamers a chance to play games online they never got to.
