The PS3 and Wii both now have AAAAE's...

...when is the 360 getting one? Don't see any exclusives worth an AAAA score; I thought Halo: Reach had a shot at it but after playing the Beta I doubt it.

Reach is their best bet now... well, so far.

I can see GS givin Reach a 10 just for the sake of making thing a lil bit even.

On the other hand, I find myself thinking, does it really need one? It's nice and all, but in the grand scheme of things, when I play games I don't think "Yeah, this game totally got a 10, and it's sooooo much more fun!!!".

The final version of Reach will be better than the beta, so it'll be 9.5-10 at least.

I really hate that score, they state "as close to perfect at the time of the review" and i know for a fact that MGS4 and GTAIV were far from perfect at the time of release.

to be honest I think most 360 fans would rather Red Dead redemption over SMG2, Mario is a bit too kiddy for a lot of gamers tastes these days, im sure 360 owners wont be losing anysleep over MG2 getting a 10, When the 360s libary is a lot better then the Wii's.Totalgym9000

Wouldn't it be hilarious if Starcraft 2 got a 10 too, so then both PS3/Wii and PC would have AAAAE titles. 360 would be like the ginger black sheep that is left out of the family.

the sad part is theres actually people on this site that think like this.

Well let's just say Reach is in a ton of pressure to satisfy people. Getting a 10 from Gamespot is of course no exception. Although in my opinion and observation, the 10's Gamespot gives out these days seem to be in completely random in expected situations. I expected ME2 and SMG2 to qualify for that elusive 10 for example, and SMG2 made it while ME2 fell short.

Selling your console or converting to a rival console doesn't make any sense when it comes to System Wars bragging rights...unless you just want to be in the positive side of things like at the moment Sony and throughout this gen Nintendo. Unless you're talking about online gaming then i'll just say that you might want to sell your PS3, Wii, and PC as well (if you have any of those) and/or just quit online gaming in general because online gaming in general is "serious business". System Wars is serious business too.

the damage control in this thread is funny as hell. In this thread they all say that a score of 10 doesn't matter but in a Thread about AW prior to release there was nothing but hype for it to get a 10. I think the lems are just butthurt about their main game this year getting AA while SMG gets a 10.

I will be buying SMG 2, the first was awesome.

Also to the guy who ssaid that no MS games have had time to establish themseves as a franchise...There's as many Halo games as there is Metal Gear Solid...actually more if we're only including MGS(starting on the PS1) There was of course Metal Gear 1 and 2 for older systems. Even with mario there's Mario 1, 2, 3, world, 64, sunshine, galaxy and now Galaxy 2 for the main games of the franchise. Sure there's a ton of spin offs but for the core game Halo isn't far off again.

Seriously GTAIV and MGSIV came out in the Year 2008 and both got 10s. It could happen again this year.
