The PS3 is extremely.....

overrated right now!!!!! I bought a PS3 about two months ago and had to keep finding ways to convince myself that I made the right choice. I bought its best games....RFoM, Motorstorm, NG Sigma, R6 Vegas and tried a few others. I bought BluRay movies and although my HDTV is an older model that goes only to 1080i the picture did look very nice. At the same time I kept asking myself is this really $150 better than the XBOX 360? The answer I came up with is no way! The 360 has equivelent hardware, a much bigger and better games library and even at $50 a year I'd rather log into XBOX Live anyday over PSN!! So I traded my PS3 in for a 360 and feel much better for doing it!

Then I started to look at the games coming out for each console. While alot of games sound like they could be fun...aka Heavenly Sword, Uncharted and Warhawk, Ihad to askmyself what games do I truely enjoy. Well my 3 favorite games/franchises of all time are Halo, KOTOR and Madden. So at the end of the day, Halo 3, Mass Effect and Madden 08(proven better on 360) win out over anything on the PS3 with ease! Now that being said, KZ 2 and MGS 4 have me highly pumped in 2008, but when are we talking here....holidays 2008? Most likely! Id say its a given that these two games are an easy 6 months from completion at best. UT 3 looks fun as heck, but its coming to 360 in early 2008.

At the end of the day, both consoles offer alot, but right now owning a PS3 to me is simply not worth it. This time next year with MGS 4, KZ 2 and other games, plus a real price drop...C'mon Sony hit that magical $399 and I will buy in again!!

Why did you bother buying a PS3 when your favorite games/franchises are 360 exclusive (other than Madden, which I don't think has been any good for 4 years now)? Why did you bother making this thread? We ALL know the PS3s current shortcomings. Frankly, I don't care what you want in a console. If you already owned a 360, you made an especially questionable purchase picking up a PS3.

I bet you don't even own a PS3. I am enjoying mine quite a bit. As for WarHawk, it's getting awesome reviews from IGN and GameSpot, so I don't know what you're waiting for to get it, but it's obvious that you don't own a ps3, rather you own a xboxPleasefixme.

As for the TC, if that's what works with you, then good for you man. You made the correct choice of what suites you. I personally don't like Madden games, played Halo2 and thought it was nothing spectacular, and I find the xbox360 a very poor designed system with many problems like 3 red lights, drive problems, over heating...etc, so I invested in a system that I know will last for a while, has great features like blu-ray, and great games like RFOM, and MotorStorm(motorstorm is what sold me on a PS3 to be honest) and now WarHawk, and more great games coming out this year and next year. I am a very happy PS3 owner.

I agree to some extent but as far as there being a bigger game library on 360 how many of those will you replay over and over. I love Bioshock and Xbox live (i don't see the reason for the price tag though) and most games and can't wait for Halo 3, but some games i find hard to replay as it can get tedious a bit. As far as Warhawk goes i'm super addicted to it and love it to bits, it's really addicting.Solid_Max13

Dont get me wrong on this guys. I feel that the PS3 is a great console on its own merits, but right now it doesn't have the games that I want to play. So yes, I made a poor purchase decision for my gaming tastes. I will buy a PS3 again down the road however, as games like MGS 4 and KZ 2 start to comes out and the PS3 gains more developer confidense and garners more time from them to utilize its hardware....aka EA and Ubisoft!!! My only point was that for me, the 360 is the console that fulfills my gaming needs for the foreseeable future! Not a slam on the PS3 whatsoever!kungfuchaos

You sir do not have a PS3. You are just another Xbox fan makeing up stories to try to put down the PS3.

Well I can do the same...I got an Xbox 360 3 months ago and after 2 weeks it broke and I sent it back to the factory to repair and I still didn't get it back. So I asked myself...is the 360 better than the PS3? No way!!! Because I can play games with the PS3 without being worried that it will crap itself!

bought a ps1 and a ps2 but chose a 360 because of the games and the price and i'm loving my 360 and live is amazing.

I'm having more fun with my PS3 at the moment, but that's because my 360 is getting repaired. -_-SolidSnake35

The PS 3 will be awesom once it gets a solid library of great games. Just can't bring myself to buy one until than.Besides the 360 is keeping me plenty occupied with the games out and comming out this fall.

I can see what your saying to an extent, but you really should have researched future games before you made your purchase. Almost all the games I want are coming on PS3, as I'm not that into shooters.
