The PS3 is Losing the Console War, PERIOD.

Let me first say that I am not a fanboy, and I have owned and enjoyed playing games for N64, PSX, PS2, XBox, Xbox 360, and Wii.

Sony is losing this console war because of their system's lack of interesting features and over pricing. I mean when the 360 outsells the PS3 in JAPAN is when you know something is seriously wrong. And the PS3 is completely getting its arse kicked by the Wii all over the world.

I think the week Ace Combat 6 came out it did... that, or some big game over there in the past two months. I don't remember exactly what game fueled the rise but it was big news when it happened

It was after the Halo 3 release, i think it was around first week in november that the 360 sells more than the PS3, i dont remember the date, but it was in GS news and forums. A little help here please with the Date.

We have to have WiFi and all the battery packs? Well then if you own a PS3, you have to have Blu-Ray movies, since it is a standard feature and noted,and those are expensive. You also need a headset.

Umm last i read (2 weeks ago) the PS3 was outselling the Wii... That was 2,3 weeks ago not sure anymore. And when you say over pricing well it is going down in price 80g 500$ Ok well the Xbox 360 elite 120G is also 500$.

My PS3 cost me far more than my x360.

Headset any standard USB or Bluetooth headset will work. Cost $5- $30

HDMI cable -quality cables can be found all over the web for $5- or less I bought mine from monoprice.com $4.00

X360 is far more expensive than PS3. PS3 can use all standard accessories.

The x-box is being beat in Europe and Japan(together these have almost double Americas population the UK and Japan are also the only countries with higher %uptake of gaming consoles than America (i think Australia could be as well someone should look it up))

If you look at the Wii,Ps2,Ps3,DS american sales are resonasable for less than 50% of sales(the ds has sold more in Europe than in America as of now and the ps2 is only 2 million units beind the American sales in Europe as of now)

wheras for the x-box 360 American sales are more than 70% of sales

Worldwide there is around 1 thousand units either way on who is winning (looking at the Amercan NPD is not giving anyone a good idea of who is winning you have to look at chart-track.com(Europes NPD) and the famistus publication of Japanesse sales for a good outlook on which console is selling more.

Chart-track is saying that around 40K more ps3's were sold than 360's and prelimnary(they are only pleminary) japaneese charts are predicting 50K more ps3's sold. That begs the question how much is the 360 outselling ps3 by in America?

I think the ps3 is currently having a better year worldwide than the x-box 360 is (mostly because of Europes 700,000 units sold on the first day)

Either way it is the a FACT the Wii has more units sold than either of its competetors and is still selling more than its competetors with no drop in sales in sight(its christmass how can they possibly drop).

PS3 just doesn't live up to the hype at all - and i doubt it ever will. People were just expecting way more, and it ended up being nearly identical to the 360 in terms of performance and visuals.

Until a game comes out that makes me literally say the word 'wow' I won't be touching one again.

Uhhhh, wrong the 360 came out in Nov 2005, the PS3 came out Nov 2006... Uhh so that's 1 year and thats no excuse because the PS2 had exactly 1 year's head start and basically pummeled the Xbox in system and game sales but the Xbox still held it's own and managed to be a good system with a fair amount of great games.
