The ps3 is now the Shooter Console !!!

I like how people use to call the 360 a shooter console when it came out but the fact is that its not the fact that a console has a lot of shooters that makes it a shooter console, its the fact that people just love shooters!!!!!

COD4, AREA:51, REsistance, Half-life 2, etc etc, people love shooters...
last gen we could argue the original xbox was the shooter console, hell it was even reported that MS turned down GTA3 exclusivity cause they wanted a more shooter-esque ****of gaming (those idiots), and indeed they did have a lot of shooters shared with PC, like halo , doom 3, half-life 2, far-cry....

but this gen if ps3's titles are of any indication, it just shows shooters are just damn popular,
Hell KZ2 and halo 3 out the top wanted titles on their respective consoles.

ITs like calling the wii a kiddy system (which it is), its not the fact that it has little bobble heads and and wii sports with lovable adorable characters in games that makes it kiddy, its the fact that people love those crap....
Nintendo would stop making kiddy games if people didnt buy it simply because of asthetics...

there you go, no console is a shooter or kiddy console, we just live in a gen where people love shooters and little kids ( i prefer jailbait though)

Maybe the 360 should be considered "The console that does FPSs the best" (amongh other things) instead of "The FPS console". This would be true, and it wouldn't suggest that FPS is all that 360 does well.

And we all know that it also has a ton of other games that kick ass that aren't FPSs. Only the the jealous fanboys refuse to see this.

Nobody calls the 360 a shooter only console, that would just be stupid.

Dude, the wii isn't a kiddy system as it is the ipod of gaming. It is the most popular, but the other consoles do it better. Yea, it does have Galaxies, SSBB, and Metroid, but that is about it for the rest of us gamers.
