The PS3 is selling way better than what people think!!!!!!

I usually dont pay attention to console sales,but when people say that the "PS3 is doing bad compared to the 360", that is a MYTH. What you need to do is remember that the 360 came out A YEAR before the PS3 and you should take off a year from the360 to see how it is doing compared to the PS3.

Hereare the console sales as they stand.

360: 34 million

PS3:28 million (yeah it was closer than you thought, but wait!!!)

Now HERE is what happens when we take off a year from the 360 (ill take off this year)...

360: 28 million

PS3: 28 million

Now I thought that these sales were weird, because I always thought that other than the last 3 months, that the 360 outsold the PS3 (unless a big exclusive comes out for the PS3). But I went to wikipedia, and to vgchartz.com and they were within 1- 2 million range with each others charts. (for vgchartz.com take a million off of each consoles sales, so it is basically still the same, I just dont want anyone to call me a troll)

Lemmings act like the ps3 is getting trounced by the 360 in sales. Take away rrod re-buys and (soon to be) console ban re-buys and its much closer than one would think.

I prefer my PS3 i just wish software sale supported this more :)

Both are great consoles I've been playing my Ps3 alot more than my xbox elite because I prefer there recent releases alot more.

however, lems dotn understand or they forget their console came out 1 year earlier, ata lower price.

this lead to people who could only afford one console (which is alot of people), to get an xbox. So many consumers that wanted a ps3 but could not afford it, bought a 360 instead.

not sayin 360 is bad, but for ure money right now, clearly the ps3 wins.

And, i feel bad for the people who bought the 360 and thought it would be better in the end (money wise). however they were wrong, they had to buy a wireless adapter, a Live subscription (approximately 3 years). that in its self adds up to about 150 - 200$ extra, plus 100$ wireless adapter. In the end, they got screwd, especially since their 360's failed many times as well.

Better question, why are you in denial and acting as if they were wrong. 113 million people bought a DS which doesn't do everything, 57 million people did the same with the wii, 34 million did with the 360, the better question is, why should they bother with the PS3? The answer to that question is, they don't have to and many didn't.

Umm i don't really think Sony is going to launch it's next system before Microsoft does....

Its selling well nonetheless, and there's great games out and coming out for the system. Nothing to complain about. :)

How is it fanboyism? It's fact. In terms of sales the PS3 IS in last place. That doesn't make it a bad system. It just makes it last place.

Of course this is all exaggerated beyond proportion I'd say, buts still when Game Informer suspects 360's sales of not being "completely legit" I'd think something is up.

Like I said, its all exaggerated, at worst it could be like a couple million, atbest could be less than1 million, and considering how easy repairs are now I doubt someone would just get another one over an easy repair.
