The blame rests squarely on the games that are out, not the console itself.-The-G-Man-False. If the console were cheaper, more people would buy it, creating a greater supply of demand.

No one cares where the blame rests. The fact is, I asked a question and unless you're going to answer it you shouldn't be posting in this thread.

More exclusives more sales , people will buy it once it gets better games , Probably not smiling but they will :p

I'm not going to answer because you're trying to blame the PS3 instead of the games.
what difference does it make?JPOBS
Ummm...because it's the question I asked. If I had not asked the question this thread wouldn't exist.

They're both at fault. You can't just blame one thing, or you're pulling a TC.[QUOTE="DireToad"]Were million selling games so important in SW before it was one of the few arguments in favour of the Wii?Sales of GAMES in and of themselves have never been a factor in sw.
I'm really asking.JPOBS
Ridiculous. At the end, software sales are all that really matter. They're WAY more important than hardware sales. Software is where companies make profit, not hardware. And for us consumers, software is what we play. Hardware is nothing without software.
A console could have sales of one billion units, but if the software doesn't sell well, it wouldn't mean anything.

I'm asking a question. Which is the last console to have only one million-seller 7 months after it's release? Was it the Atari Jaguar?
Blame the games not he console. SpecialForcesOpNot true. The more accessible a system is to Casuals, the more games will get sold. Casuals tend to by more crappy games without looking a review scores. Commercials and advertising is more affective on their type than people who are into gaming and check out reviews before buying.

Yes, I see what you mean. Blaming one or the other really doesn't make much sense.

read bold. thanks.Yes, I did "read bold". And I stand by what I said. Even in SW, software sales are far more important than hardware sales. Who cares how well hardware sells if the games for that hardware aren't selling well? Like the PS3, it's attach rate is low. Same with the PSP.
I'm not "blaming" anyone, so you're lying.Number_1_GamerIt seemed like you were putting down the PS3 for failing to sell "enough" games.
By the end of the year million sellers will start popping up all over the place.

That pretty much saids it all.
end thread.

Yes you are. You're asking what consoles had only 1 million seller 7 months or something after launch. You're asking about the consoles and by asking about the consoles you're blaming them for the games that are out and how many games it is selling, which of course really isn't very smart at all.
software sakles have never mattered in sw.Yes, I did "read bold". And I stand by what I said. Even in SW, software sales are far more important than hardware sales. this is a fact. get over it. no matter how valid your point, it is simply irrelevent to the fact that software sales has never mattered in sw.

**** 1000 dollars for a gaming console is the most ridiculous thing ive ever seen and is the sole cause of its low sales. your right though its not the consoles fault, its the ridiculously high price of it.

I would not bet on that one, I don't care what comes out I am not paying $600 for a Blueray player I don't need so I can play games.

its a pretty dumb question to ask.who one earth keeps track of how long it takes a console to have a million seller?

That's not what I asked. I asked which was the last console to have only one million-seller 7 months after launch. Either answer my question if you know the answer, or stop posting in this thread.
The Xbox 360 has a bunch of million sellers: One I'm positive of: Gears, Oblivion, Call of Duty 2, Lost Planet, Rainbow 6 Vegas, GRAW and Dead Rising. Ones that very well might be but I'm not 100% sure: Crackdown, Call of Duty 3, PDZ,PGR3, Shadowrun (a LOT of people on my friends list own this game), Madden 07, GRAW 2,Saints Row (I'm probably even missing a few). I'd say the Xbox 360 has at least 10 million-game sellers, mainly due to the systems large install-base and very high attach-rateshadow8585
I think it has 17 million sellers right now.

when did the 360 have its first million seller ?Stall0wn3d
I think Call of Duty 2 might have been the first one; not entirely sure, though.

No, I'm asking the question because I'm curious. If I wanted to blame the PS3, I'd say "I blame the PS3".

That $600 pricetag sure isn't helping to push any consoles.

Almost of those games you named were million sellers, or even out, at this time in the 360's life span.
it took 360 9 months to get its first system seller. ps3 did it in 4. tc sorry you failed.-Renegade
And what would that system seller be for the PS3?
