PS3/360 slim weren't hardware upgrades to PS3 and 360. WiiU is to Wii. It is next gen. Again, if its about power, what gen is the PC in?

@cainetao11: pc never had nor will have a gen. Wii's competition was Xbox and PS2. WiiU's competition is 360, Ouya, PS3. PS4 is going against the Cable Box 720p.

Just picked up my Wii U yesterday. First impressions: Sweet.

Shame Nintendo games like Mario aren't bothering to include online, 3rd party games like Batman don't bother either, and even the biggest 3rd party game (COD) has only a few hundred online, rendering it mostly unplayable.

More powerful PC's have existed for quite a while. If we're going by power to determine what gen it is then this generation started before the PS4.

I picked up mine on Tuesday. Impressed so far as well - they've made a hell of a lot of improvements to the Wii's menu/functionality, and the gamepad and off-screen play is surprisingly great.

You guys just picking up a Wii U..Don't care about the ZombiU review on this site the game is one of the best zombie games out there. Also pick up Wonderful 101

The New Super Mario Bros U and Super Luigi U is an amazing bundle. $80 in savings.

Wii U is definitely starting to pick up its momentum with its newly released and upcoming titles: Mario 3D World, Super Smash Bros., Wind Waker HD, Mario Kart.
