Gears of War. one of the best games on the market with a great storyline and an even better multiplayer.

Halo 2. a game that will go down in history as one of the most played games on xbox live.

these two games pretty much rule Xbox live besides a few minor exceptions but which game is better. overall. what are your guys opinions because im tired of debating over it with my friends.

This is all personal preference. Gears and Halo play totally differently in both single player and online.

For me it's Gears of War I enjoy more. And I like it a whole lot by the way. I still play it co-op with a friend nearly weekly. Trying out new things and whatnot. I really like how you can play the entire single player via co-op. And it's an action packed game. You very rarely walk around with no enemies in sight.

And I'm one of the people that enjoys it a whole lot via online multiplayer. I do play with friends mostly, but it's just a blast.

In the end, Halo is just more fun overall. Especially in multiplayer. The game options are almost limitless, whereas the options in Gears are extremely restricted. Put the Halo MP balance is quite good, where the Gears balance is...pretty terrible.
