Those aren't the only reasons. Everybody here knows that Nintendo consoles have the best first-party titles ever. Super Mario Galaxy is proof of this.

And I personally think the Xbox 360 is overpriced, as it does nothing new rather than add some flashy new graphics to videogames.

Fad or not, it's a system that's here to stay, and there's no denying it's affected the competition and market in a drastic ways. Make ways for non-gamers, because MS and Sony will be after them (Already are with PS2 games like Buzz) and MS's push on XBLA games and so forth, games that are for everyone and non-gamers is coming now because Nintendo knew the market and went to a new one for big bucks.

Also motion sensing is coming to fruition (with PS3 and Wii supporting it.) So a new way to interface with games.... yeah that's a new step.

I dont think that the Wii is really effecting the 360 and PS3 at this time maybe in the future, but as of now not so much. Even though its selling more than the other systems its still missing out on the big name games that the other systems want. PS3/360/PC are still getting games like GTA, DMC4,SC4, and most of the other well known games, for the demographic that the PS3 and 360 are going for at the moment they wouldnt really benefit from taking away Wii developed games since alot of the top Wii titles are 1st party they cant obtain those and 3rd party games are kind of lacking.

at this time what would the other consoles obtain by outselling the Wii? they already have most of the quality 3rd party games, and this doesnt look to be changing anytime soon.

I agree keep the wii next to the ps2. xbox 360 and ps3 are so alike that its more of a fair fight. More interesting also.

Remember when gaming consoles were for gaming? Not multimedia sh-t that I have a computer for? The Wii is the truest console avalaible (not counting handhelds) because the only thing it's trying to force down our throats are the games. I really hate this generation of so called "hardcore gamers" who probably have never played a game for a simple high score without the ability to save your progress. i still laugh when people purchase the Wii..such a waste of money

its 300 bucks after tax..throw in an extra 100 bucks and u got urself a true next gen system ie 360, ps3

Wii is only fun when u have a party ...which is not everyday, and the online is just horrible..the graphics are horrible, only game that was fun was SMG which was really fun but thats about it zelda TP was not bad...
