Another weak argument I'm about to tackle here.

Did anyone notice how weak wiimote jobs on the Wii like The Simpsons and NBA Live get passed on as "weak ports" and "developer laziness" while weak uses of the Sixaxis get passed as "PS3's controller only destroys every game"? Why is that? Did you forget Warhawk and games which steadily use the Sixaxis better? Do you fail to differ developer laziness from controller.. badness?

But then, everytime I point out hypocrisy in SW it just gets passed over, but I try.

It has pretty bad controls mainly cause it is so sensitive...but to be honest GS and IGN really over did it with a 4.9 and 4.5..

The sixaxis has ruined 1 game, lair, for every other game you can turn it off. Yet when you look at the Wii the cons for wii games are usually centerd around the weird/awkward controls

Did he say the sixaxis is destroying gaming? No. He's saying the sixaxis destroyed one of Sony's touted exclusives.

Keep it as an option and all will be well.

I love the sixaxis aftertouch in Heavenly Sword. If you take the time to learn it its awesome. My friends gave up in one minute and turned it off. Then they watched me use it and were like "how are you so good?"

Take the time to learn it. Thats how.

What's your point?

Let me ask you this. Could Lair be done on the DS2 controller, and do a better job?

editted since the quotee made me think I made a topic title I did not. D:

Sixaxis is no more a gimmick than rumble. When used properly and kept to a minimum it works great. Look at Ratchet and Clank. And making it optional is also good, again just like rumble.

I think the illusion was that motion control was going to replace the analog stick. It obviously can't. You need both and you need to implement them properly.

The Wii was MADE for motion sensing controls.

PS3 was not.
That's why they can say things like that.

The sixaxis on Warhawk is awesome, but sucks on Lair. It all comes down to how it's implemented in the game.

Sensitive what? It measures 6 degrees (all movements are measured practically the same). The Wii mote measures 360.

Ratchet and Clank Future has an option to use the left analog stick instead of the Sixaxis.

Game that use Sixaxis nicely that ive played:

Resistance: Fall of man (i love shaking off menials it freaked me out first play through)

Heavenly Sword (How can you not like guiding an arrow into a guy's nuts?)

R & C (Only played demo but the flying part responded nicely)

Sigma (Shaking Ninpo is a good way to ease off the anger lol)

Sixaxis is fun, but nothing to truly brag about

Its not just the sixaxis's fault, you can also blam the cell and blu ray. Those things suppose to help the PS3 but instead became its reason why its last place.

Six Axis is well... crap.. it can be fun some of the time like in say folklore but most of the time your just glad theres an option to turn it off, specially in racing games... I much rather have rumble in my controller than a half working feature such as motion sensing.

It isn't 'for' any system.
It's just the reason, in my opinion.

Late reply, went to bed.

Anyway, some of you people still fail to differ developer fault from hardware fault. Even if it was a fully fledged 360 degrees from every angle controller and without flaws (which the Wii even isn't), you would still get plenty of reviews bashing games for how it doesn't work well or feels tacked on.

No, no it didn't. The game's controls wouldn't have worked well with the analog sticks either. It had ZERO to do with six-axis.

When you have games like MotorStorm, Warhawk, Nascar, R&C, Heavenly Sword, and others that utilize it just fine, there's no reason to think it hinders games.
