If you have not played the second one... do so... I just realised recently, although flawed, the second one is superior to the first... that is, it will be when Team Gizka is finished with it. :D

I have palyed the second one and beat it. But for some reason the first one stuck with me more. I think the story in part 1 was much better even though some of the force powers and whatnot in the second were better hashed out. But the end of 2 stunk IMO.

See that is the problem almost everyone who plays the game has with it. The thing is... there was a planned ending, Obsidian just did not get to put it in thanks to LA. And the whole story of the second one... if it were allowed to be finished... would have been superior to the first. Sure a nice little twist is good, but TSL has the more, I guess "philosophical" story. I love them both.
AAA all the way... I'll even let someone have some fun with this one.... I WILL LEAVE FOREVER IF MASS EFFECT DOES NOT SCORE AAA because even Jeff isn't that ridonkulous :)

you have to fight, I saw that coming a few hours into the game. However the suprise in pt.1 was much more riviting and shocking (even though I should have saw it, all the singns were there).
But you are right, I did like the "philsophical" side of part 2 and made the desision to be "good" or "evil" a little bit more dificult to deside and the line between the 2 was blured.

You know what I'm talking about ;) Second game improved greatly on the gameplay in the following ways: * starting as a Jedi, so you began developing powers at level 2 (still took a long time to get your 1st light saber though) * the elite Jedi Classes (superior lightsaber mastery feat was unfreakinbelievable!!!) * not having a Level cap at just 20 - the 2 times I played the game I never stopped leveling up during all 60 hrs of play * the special Jedi Powers you got late in the game, Enlightenment and Fury * better selection of robes, some being somewhat armored, for better protection and still didn't restrict any force powers * being able to use useless junk as resources to construct weapon upgrades

probably AAA, but I'm not hyping this game as much as I used to. All this Jack Bauer in space crap really killed it for me. And they really seem to be overusing actions in the dialogue system. I mean is it really necessary to grab Garrus' collar in the X06 demo? Another example is in the new GDC demo where he apparently punches some guy for talking too much. Even a simple "shut the hell up" isnt extreme enough for Commander Bauer, apparently.
I'm not going to hype this game AAA but it looks amazing and I'm getting it for sure regardless of what it scores. In fact I'm going to avoid the forums and reviews until after I have played it so I don't go into the game with any preconceptions.
AAA and a 9.3 score. I have no doubts about this game from the videos, screencaps, interviews with the developers, previews on various unbiased gaming sites, my own preferences, and just the fact that Bioware made it. AAA for sure.
