Sphere Grid.
With the Licence board, I got everything I need just by grinding Dustias. And all my characters are basically fail because they're a mix of everything. :( Except Penelo though...She is my black mage.
I prefered the sphere grid. With the License Board all my characters ended up pretty similar pretty quickly. It took much longer with the sphere grid.
I still prefer character classes and individality between the characters though...

You can max out sphere grids really easily as well, I liked Licence Board more, Sphere Grid was too random.
The Sphere grid drove me insane . because you could only get your experience from there. but the license board was much better.XboxOWns1
the liscence board was darn stupid. what, i need to spend some "imaginary points" to teach my character HOW TO SWING A SWORD???
for buying magic, it makes sense, but they should go back to the old requrements of using stats to determine which weapons and armor i can use.
I thought they were both fine. My issue is more that FF12 makes all your characters the exact same, so it's pretty much pointless to care about more than three of them. I would have liked to see a little more specialty between them. Or, like the sphere grid, start them all with different skills and on a different spot on the license board.

wa? You can look at the sphere grid and see exactly what's going on. The license board is a huge crapshoot, unless you have some sort of guide or whatever in front of you.
I personally prefer the sphere grid because it felt more customized. There isn't much incentive to diversify your characters with all the augments being in the same sector. You may as well get pretty much the same augments with every character. Maybe if there's a designated gun user, you may decide to skip str augments but that's about the extent of it. You have to make more decisions that will really change the way your character plays with the spehre grid, by designating a path. Granted, all the characters pretty much have set paths for maybe half the game, but the secondary path is all on you.
Sphere grid, it's a pain figuring out what you can and can't equip and use.CJL13
exactly.
And why do I need a license to put on a hat?
