this tells me one thing....japanese people aren't gaming in the traditional sense if they are even gaming at all. but im thinking most japanese don't game unless you count mobile games.

Just a reminder, Japan has a smaller population than the US, so its numbers will be stunted.

Its a hotbed but its in no way as profitable as EU or the US.

Also selling past a million there is considered good. Remember that each time they release sales the most you normally see on top games is probably around 60-100k on launch weeks. Some of these games got legs however while others don't.

Pokemon has always been known to have huge legs in EVERY country in comparison to most higher profile games.

Nope, would it be let's say Uncharted or whatever still it would look pretty stupid and no sense.
Really now, what conclusions should I make from these charts... 2 options only I see and I think the option B is perfectly valid. I like Pokemon you know that... but when a whole nation plays only Pokemon and buys the specific device that exclusively runs Pokemon sorry but I will say "LOL JAPAN LOL"
