The state of the Wii

AAA - 1
AA - 13 (six of these are downloadable games from decades ago)

games rated "mediocre" or less - 32

There are currently over double the number of games rated "terrible" or "abysmal" than there are games rated "good", and you only need a 7.0 for that, never mind the 8.0 and 9.0 + games.

To put that in perspective, there are 168 games on the 360. 50 of those are AA. 5 are AAA. 104 scored "good" or higher, leaving the minority of games being "fair" or less.

So as you can see, currently, as far as gamers go the Wii is easily the worst console on the market. PS3 owners aren't exactly in for a great gaming time either, as the number of games are very small, but there's at least some solid AAs. The wii quite literally has nothing worth playing.

I dont hate on anything. :| My posts are always unbiased, as i'm not a child. I simply saw the "latest reviews" section of the Wii page and noticed all of the games were in the 4's. I then did a search on all the games and was amazed to find the majority of games scoring 4 and less.

We always have Wii sales numbers rubbed in our faces, i simply thought these were some interesting figures which show the other side of the Wii, that software-wise, it's falling behind significantly. 

Umm... and thats why if there were enough to be bought, the Wii would be owning the 360 right now.

However, I do have a 360 and like it ALOT MORE, I am just staing fact. I work at Gamestop and if I have to hear "do you have any Wii's?" I am going to kill someone...

I went to Gamespot's all Wii games section and counted

9s - 1
8s - 6
7s - 14
6s - 8
5s - 10
4s - 3
3s - 3

That's not counting VC games, but I think there were some games missing, idk though.

It's not my own opinion. It's the figures from reviews on the very site you're posting on. Currently, there is very, very little worth playing on the Wii. Simple.

Funny, cause according to your numbers there are about 14 games worth playing on the Wii.

Also your comparison between a console out for over a year to one out for less than half a year is brilliant.

It was a percentage of quality games to total games, obviously. :|

The games that are good, however, are carrying it forward, and the longer it's out, the less bad games it will get, as games like MP3 set precedents. 

id rather play the games that i like, and rate them myself than to leave my opinion of what games are good to 1person.HappySunnGuy

Ok, so reviews now dont count. So the whole point of system wars is what, to compare sales figures? :|

I'm not saying that it wont improve. I just see so many sales-figures threads on the wii, i thought it was interesting that so many games released on the machine get such poor reviews. And we're not just talking VC here. Overall, there's more games which aren't worth bothering with than there are giving a try, unlike the other two consoles on the market right now, whereby one has a wealth of quality games to play, and the other doesn't have many games, but the few that it does have are of a good standard.

Simply from a GAMEPLAY standard, i'd say the Wii is CURRENTLY the lesser of the three, and you'd have a tough time disagreeing.

Comparing based on  AAA numbers given.

AAA: 5 to 5

AA:  65 to 50

Other: 160 to 113

Comparing based on AA numbers given.

AAA: 3.85 to 5

AA: 50 to 50

Other:  123 to 113

Comparing based on Other.

AAA: 3.53 to 5

AA:  45.9 to 50

Other: 113 to 113

I think the numbers given show equally matched.
