The ultimate future console games graphics comparison thread (56K?)

Only 3 rules,

1.) Make sure this is totally UNBIASED

2.) They must all be future games

3.) All console games, I am fully aware Crysis wins the graphics war, this is specifically for console games only.

Multiplatforms and exclusives both allowed.

I shall start us off,

MASS EFFECT 2:

RAGE:

UNCHARTED 2:

FORZA MOTORSPORT 3:

SPLINTER CELL CONVICTION:

HEAVY RAIN:

ALAN WAKE:

ASSASSINS CREED 2:

Also, could someone explain to me what 56K means? I don't want to break any rules or anything because I don't know what it means.

lol RAGE will destroy the others and laugh...but when is it gonna be released? in 2 years or so hmmm. Forza its a racing game= always looks better cuz all you seeis your car. Alan Wake takes it for me (with out counting RAGE of course)

Btw, all those shots are in game and here are my thoughts on them:

Mass Effect 2, Looking very good character models wise and although the backgrounds are very clean and solid, the lighting could do with work.

Rage, Looking very good all around, just needs abit of polishing.

Uncharted 2, I'm actually quite dissapointed. The close up textures look very bad. The character models are looking nice though.

Forza Motorsport 3, Well the car models look excellent needless to say but also, the road texture looks very realistic. Crowds could be done with a little more detail though.

Splinter Cell Conviction, The backgrounds and lighting effects are done superbly. The character models however are not quite up to scratch with other games.

Heavy Rain, Looking extremely realistic if not a tiny bit blocky.

Alan Wake, Looking brilliant. Not much wrong from what I can see.

Assassins Creed 2, While it all hasa beautiful look, the lighting effects could do with a lot of work and there area lot of choppy edges. Nice water though.

And people call Uncharted 2 a graphics powerhouse ? i can see the low re textures and pixelated textures even with bullshots LMAO.L33tbanneador

I know. To all the people voting for Uncharted 2 without thinking, please take a look at the screenshots. All are in game, no bullshots.

EXACTLY! It's impossible to do a fair vote on gamespot, from those screenshots, ALL IN-GAME, not even the biggest of fanboys could argue Uncharted 2 looks the best. They're all just voting for it to make it look good from the cgi bullshots.

And for the record, I own both a 360 and a ps3.

I would have chosen Rage for the poll if I could have. I think Rage will look the best.

Pretty difficult to make judgement on best graphics based on one screen shot of each game alone. For example, the screenshots you postedfor Rage, and Alan Wake honestly don't look like anything special, but I'm betting the final games will look much better.

There is visible jaggies in that shot.
If it's a bullshot it's very convincing.

Just Cause 2 will be a sleeper hit I think. I thought the first was terribly underrated on the PC and the graphics were simply amazing for it's time.

Nobody is totally unbiased therefore everyone who voted broke rule no. 1.

From those screens, I thought Assassin's Creed 2 looked the best.

Well Rage and Crysis 2 are looking far more impressive than any of those other games, but no release dates yet, so it's hard to say.

From what I've seen Assassin's Creed 2 has the most impressive graphics. Huge open levels filled with NPCs and it still looks amazing.

It's funny how you call those who choose Uncharted fanboys yet you chose the best screen shots for every game except Uncharted and Heavy Rain... Then you put Forza 3 a car game instead of GT(both look excellent, but why add one over the other). Also rage shouldn't be there because we haven't seen any confirmed gameplay screens for consoles. Assassins Creed looks good, but not as great as that picture shows especially since it's an updated engine over the original and Uncharted 1 beat the original. The 2 games that look SUPERB and should be compared are Uncharted 2 and Mass Effect because both look amazing.

I hate comparing graphics with screenshots, cause I think Uncharted 2 and Assassins Creed 2 look the best in motion. I think you can only really say what looks best when you see the game working

I love how the person who made this wrote unbiased in system wars.

Obviously you can't have that in system wars. I think I can determine that Uncharted 2 is not the graphics console king. It looks brilliant but other games just look alot better. Previous screens of uncharted 2were cgi.I might make a part 2 with games like, Crysis 2, Lost Planet 2, Just Cause 2, Gt5, God of War 3, and maybe a few more.
