Nerf gun, anyone?

Best Space sim period.
I would trade the mediocre games of Black & White and Fable any days if we could see the former glory of the Bullfrog dev doing Populous and Dungeon Keeper 2.
This game was just too damn unique and amazing to not have a sequel.. Yet it never got one..
Another amazing series by Relic, that hasn't been a game for like 7 years.. Though there are rumors of a possible sequel, but they are just rumors..
Probably one of the most unknown mech games, but it was one of the best ever.. Sadely it ended here..
One of the best rpgs and games out there imo, and sadely the dev went under and I doubt we will ever see a quality game set in this type of universe or gameplay..
Not "Baldur's Gate", but a game set in the Forgotten Realms settingmgkennedy5
Am I the only one that is incredibly bored with Forgotten Realms, its like LOTR witha different coat of paint.. I would really like to see something like the Warhammer Fantasy setting, though there are the typical cliches of it, its incredibly grim and forboding universe..

i think they should have a massive quest using the outlands as a hub. the problem then is recreating like 6 or 7 D&D worlds in their entirety (or something close) that would be ridiculously massive

Its just to me Forgotten Realms, namely Faerun, tries to be dark and realistic and fails miserably.. Warhammer for instance, evil is really evil, humans and races in general keep to themselves and tend to be extremely racist towards one another.. Afterall we still have racism to this day with a small thing like skin pigment, these are people with drmatically different characeristics.. The only one that is an exception to the rule is Ravenholm (correct name?).
both these games are getting sequels aren't they? Oddworld definitely is and isn't the original fallout getting a sequel (they were taken to court over it last year)o0_L0st_B0y_0oOddworld's last game was officially canceled and there is no game officially in the works. Fallout is not getting a sequel, but the IP is getting molested violently by two greedy developers, if that's what you mean.
Few more that came up of the top of my head..
Though this game is relatively new, the devs have pretty much said they don't plan on making a sequel.. Which is sad, it was one of the most indepth and entertaining games of all time.. I wish a top quality dev would buy out the license, because the problem with the game was merely the learning curb, poor interface, and some what dull combat compared to other space sims.. But on the other hand it even with these complaints its a incredible game..
a true successor to this game.. Why Nintendo hasn't tried to push it is beyond me..
Giants, another amazingly unique game that will probably never get a sequel..
Another game series that Square NEVER uses except for additions to handhelds.. The fact we they are trying to go to some psudeo real time combat in which it seems to dumb down the gameplay.. When the JRPG genre can be re-energated on this gen consoles with a highly detailed turn based grid strategy game with amazing graphics and far more customizability.. JRPG's are stagnating terribly.. Western RPG's use to have weak narrative but alot of choice compared to JRPG's.. That isn't the case anymore, JRPG's are easily rivaled today imo with narratives furthermore there complete lack of choice in at least meaningful character development/gear have not changed one bit..
There needs to be another sequel outside of handheld of the Megaman series.. Either it be a glorious 2d side scroller with the depth and freedom of games like SoTN.. Or make a beat em up.. Side scrollers have definitely been replaced with beat em ups imo, though I never am a big fan of the genre as of late often times just for being so shallow (though MUA I still conclude has some of the best co-op multplayer out there), I would love to see the Zero and Megaman into their own type of game around those lines..

http://bitmob.com/index.php/mobfeed/oddworld-inhabitants-interview-with-lorne-lanning.html maybe a load of rubbish (its towards the end, where they talk about a new game being announced soon)
Wasnt interplay making an MMO of fallout?

"supposedly" as far as I am concerned they are still on life support.
A) Interplay did not develop Fallout, they published it. Add another developer to the list of them trying to exploit the IP. B ) lol MMO C) your article is a load of rubbish I've read it before and the subtitle is misleadingmaybe a load of rubbish (its towards the end, where they talk about a new game being announced soon)

Well ever sense Fallout 3 was considered a commerical hit, it has briefly brought Interplay who sold off the rights back to life.. And there have been rumors of a sequel mmo.. But I don't expect Interplay to ever finish it, they have proven to have very poor management skills going bankrupt with some of the best games being published by them at the time..

That sure would be interesting if I had a modicum of assurance that anybody involved with the original Fallout was involved in the MMO project. The reason I liked Fallout wasn't because it had an "Interplay" sticker, I'll tell you that much. For all I know Bethsoft are better developers and I can certainly expect more out of Obsidian. Here's the icing....
Miyomatic
We already have that with Tatsunoko vs Capcom.. But it sure was a kick in the nuts that the game was only released for the Wii.
Homeworld
It would be overly epic if Relic captures the magic of the original with today's tech. A third one is long overdue.
mo0ksi
Not to mention I find Relic's typical gameplay as of late in point capturing and constant battles around that point to fit far better with space rts then I do for ground rts.

Just buy it for the Wii....that's why they call them Exclusives..........
They should Bring Back Donkey Kong Country.
Well, since people are already mentioning Star Fox. I shall say:
Earthworm Jim
Gauntlet (needs a reboot after what happened with Seven Sorrows)
Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy (It REALLY needs a sequel)
Contra. I thought after the DS and WiiWare games we would see a Contra revival on the 360/PS3, but I guess it isn't going to happen.
OH MAN! The memories! Fulgore, Maya, Glacius and Orchid were my favs! I really liked Jago too because he actually took some skills. Sabrewolf was a spammer and Tusk annoyed me in his Conan the Barbarian gear :PKILLER INSTINCT. I suck at fighting games, but, God, do I love that one............

After Bubsy 3D, I hope they actually make it good, Bubsy 3D was terrible. 1st one was ok though.
Anyways, Battletoads, Killer Insinct, Streets of Rage, Double Dragon, Kid Icarus, Vectorman, etc.

Doesnt it annoy you that there hasnt been a beat-em-up since forever!? Imagine a next gen streets of rage! Beat-em ups are some of the most fun you can have with your buddy. I'm even going to go as far as saying that they should omit online play in such a game. Sure it will get docked points for it (since every review site believes every game should have some online component), but it would bring back the age-old tradition of sitting down for hours with your buddy and playing coop games, instead of some random guy thousands of miles away :D
EDIT: I once asked this guy next door if he wanted to play SF4 with me. He says "yeah sure! I'm logging online right now" :| Really? We live next door to each other and he wants to play online? What's goin on?

Fun fact: Streets of Rage 4 was in development on Sega Dreamcast but was canceled!
That guy has problems, online from there, really now?

I still have Bubsy 3D tucked far, far away in my attic, where it will stay until 2012. Such a bad memory. *shutters*
