Awesome. Trump 2020.

I knew Dan Rykert would have a hand in the end of video games.
Now it would be funny if this montage got some copyright claims.
Hopefully nobody gets distracted by this bullsh*t & focuses on the real problem with these gun massacres...
At first I thought this was a parody account.
me too lol
soon gamers will unite and fight trump.
No mortal kombat or goldeneye or doom lol way to forget these were also violent and came out earlier and why is it only now a problem
Wait a minute, I thought Trump wouldn't try to take your guns away! It's pretty fucking ironic how the young racist Republicans play violent FPS games, yet the Republican administration is blaming those same violent video games for the gun problem. LMAO! Though it won't change much. White Republicans will continue to get fucked in the ass by Trump, while they champion him. He won't even give them a reach around either.
Parents: "They shot our kids and killed them. Something needs to change!"
White House: "Shit...um...look over there! VIOLENT GAMES!"
maybe someone should remind him GamerGate got him elected
Was just about to say, but as @Jag85 told me: the hypocrites have gone silent.
Still, it all the same pisses me off! They target Anita Sarkeesian (who, don't get me wrong, still said some stupid shit) for what she said, saying "she's taking away our games" and vote Trump to "stick it to the SocJus". Yet, last I checked, Anita wasn't running for a political position, unlike Trump.

GamerGate ain't gon do shit! They'll continue to get ass fucked by Trump and cheer him on.
It’s funny Seeing the “bros” who voted for trump get all upset now that he’s Blaming video games for America’s gun problem. Thank you dipshits ?
The problem is not the violence in the games but the violence in games that are aimed at younger audiences. Its not hard to influence the mind of youths, in my day I bet there was a spike in the amount of accidents on motorways caused by kids throwing bricks off of overpasses all because of Tetris. Actually probably not, because these kids would more likely be playing games than causing mayhem outside. Im surprised they didn't blame Tetris for the few real cases of this though.

There is no problem with violence in video games at all.
Canadians, Australians, Europeans, and Asians play just as many violent video games as Americans, and yet they don't commit mass shootings. Canada, Australia, Europe, and Asia have something else in common too: widespread gun control and accessible mental health services.
That COD:MW2 airport scene never reflects well when there is a mass shooting. But yeah, they need to get to the real root of the problem... Availability of guns and mental health issues. Using video games as a deflection is not cool. These gun companies and the politicians that are in bed with them are the worst.

Yeah. I speak from experience (see bold/underscored).
It was uncool to be a gamer in my day, I remember my mum used to whine at me for being inside all day playing video games and id ask her if she preferred me to be outside drinking and taking drugs like the rest of the kids on my street. She stopped bothering me after that but then all the violent video game news started appearing on the news so she never liked it.
I made my first game at the age of 9 on my Amstrad CPC and never got any encouragement from anyone because I was "wasting my time with computers". The only people I ever killed were virtual, and 90% of the kids on my street grew up to be druggies, wastes of oxygen that would kill their own Grandmother for drugs.
It's interesting that we'd rather regulate our populace's thoughts and media than the actual weapons designed to kill people. It's interesting that we will use political legislation to force private businesses to give deals to other private interest groups. There's no ideological consistency here except protecting teh gunz. They'd never admit it but that shit is borderline communist, otherwise. Certainly not protecting core freedoms espoused by the Republican party (in theory)

Supposedly, the NRA contributed 30 million dollars to Trump's campaign fund. Meaning, he has to find a scapegoat other than the fact that guns are easily attainable by just about anyone.

Too bad a lot of these dumb GG fuckshits put him in the White House in the first place.
Donaldus Magnus, will go down in history as the one of the greatest presidents ever only behind the greatest, George Washington. Or perhaps he just seems that great following the absolute worst president ever, BHO, though that made Carter happy inching him up to now being second worst of all time. lol
:P
I always get the feeling that the politicians just want more money from video game lobbyists when this stuff comes up. Gotta grease them wheels.
How do we fixate on video games while ignoring music and movies glorifying violence? Is this the Thought Police or what?

we should do that too in my opinion.
to be clear not because I think there is a link between real violence and fictional violence but for the sake of creative diversity.

I don't remember GG backing Trump? Was that after the whole mess started with feminists vs GG and such? Trump doesn't seem to care much for ethics, to me that sounds like an odd pair up.

just to chime in here.
I actually took the time to actually watch two of her (Anita Sarkeesian) videos from start to finish and I have to say she did not say anything that everyone doesnt already know. she also did not inject any opinion at all about how she felt things should be.
she basically just showed that 1. vast majority of video games have a male lead (we know that) 2. vast majority of female roles play out male fantasy (we know that too).
so i dont know what all the fuss is about with what she ACTUALLY said
@tryit: Well she presents one possible theory for all things happening in media but of course there are many other ways to look at it and many people who disagree with what she is saying. I can understand the concern that gamers would have with feminists starting to criticize games. We've seen what happened in American universities and workplaces. The concern makes sense but of course is never an excuse for practically hunting someone down online and such. I'm just saying I would understand people freaking out about it. That part makes sense to me.

given that I have actually watched her videos I challenge you to illustrate 'what she is saying'
All I saw that 'she said' is two things.
1. most video games have a male lead
2. most female characters are sexualized for male fantasy
we all both know those two things are true, its not a mystery

She says a whole lot more than that. To give a very small example from her first video on tropes, in the beginning, she states that the saxophone music playing while Fox McCloud is oogling Crystal, that the music clearly shows that Crystal is now an 'object of desire'. That's one way of looking at it for sure. That she is being 'objectified'. You could also say, the way that I looked at it, that it shows that Fox thinks Crystal is super hot. Those are two completely valid ways of looking at it. But she definitely has more to say on the matter than those 2 facts that you're presenting there. She is coloring everything to be a result of a male dominated society. (Or rather the idea that males determine society, not the society in itself.) At least that's what I remember of it? She talks a whole lot about the 'patriarchy'. Which is something most people would disagree with.
There's a discussion to be had here surrounding what the White House just uploaded to YouTube. That discussion could certainly have fit within the standards of System Wars.
Of course, I don't see that. I see users attacking each other based on their political views.
This is not that forum nor will it be tolerated in other threads.
We have the Political Gamers forum if you need to get it out of your system that bad.
