When you go to the Wii Shop Channel, you can purchase a game and send it as a "gift" to one of your friends. Can you do something similar with the other consoles?

The only similarity I can think of is game sharing on the PS3.
yeah, I buy the retail disc, drive to the recipient, and hand the gift over. easy peasy.shaggygrosser
And you would get to actually see the person, maybe get a handshake and a verbal "Thank you"
Doing over the system would only warrant you a txt written "cool thnx :P"

The PC does, guess just one more feature consoles copied and stole.
Wii Gift System is niffty.
It's like giving your friend or family member a game in real life.
Imagine you're away from home but both you and your family have a Wii and one day you get the Blue Light on your Wii and you check and it's a gift from a Family Member and the game is a VC game or a WiiWare game.
That's the point of the Gift System.
[QUOTE="reyad-u"]No you can't. IMO the PS3 does it better, buy whatever you want so that it's yours and then go to your friend's house, sign on using your details and download it again.funsohngomg your sig is....!!! I'll say thank you here, I dunno, should I? For all I know you could be criticising me :P.

Otoyomegatari. yeah im reading it now. havent got to far, but i like it I pretty much love everything about it. Yes I can hand him an Xbox live points card and he can buy the game he wants. Not the one I think he wants!

Lmao. I found that kind of funny. Everything the Wii does, it does poorly.
Why are you asking this? You have a PS3 owner banner in your sig, shouldn't you know this? When you go to the Wii Shop Channel, you can purchase a game and send it as a "gift" to one of your friends. Can you do something similar with the other consoles?

I agree. I never, EVER want to see my nan play Wii Fit again.

Yeah, but my friend moved across the country... so it's not that easy, depending on the situation.
What if you want to buy a downloadable game for like $5 and don't want to buy them an entire game for $50-60? Then you kind of can't do it.
Also, Steam has this feature too.

I have a PS3, and I have no idea.
I don't use it enough to know.
