I have always loved Nintendo games. I bout a GC just to play Zelda. Truthfully, I have never liked the Wii. I thought its motion controller was lame and gimmicky. WOW I get to flick my wrist instead of push a button. Hello capletunnel syndrome. But lately I realized it has great classic Nintendo games no one should live with out playing. The new Super Mario Bros. I have't seen 2D mario gaming this good since SMB3. A must play for anybody. I checked out the New DK country at Target the other day. I haven't played anything this cool since 1994. Mario Kart, get outta here. Skyward Sword is a must play for me. The Wii ended up being pretty cool.

I highly recommend Donkey Kong Country Returns, the game is seriously brilliant for any 2D fan.

You should also check Pun Out Wii if you are interested in classic Nintendo games, the game is so fun.

And for some unique experiences you can't go wrong with No More Heroes, Little King Story or Muramasa.

No even without a Wii they are either games I have already played or have no interest in. With or without a Wii, they still fall into one of those two groups for me.

There are also some really amazing hidden gems on the system like No More HEroes (both games) and Silent Hill Shattered Memories.

You dont have a Wii, but you've already played them? What? Playing for a few minutes at your girlfriends house does not equal an experience.

Wow dude, your comprehension skills really suck ass. It's not enough to just read it. You also have to understand what you are reading and clearly you are not.

Nope. I understand what your trying to say. If your saying that you have already played these games, yet you don't have a Wii, you're implying one of two things.

  • You have played them on someone elses wii, or at a store demo.
  • You are saying that these games are exactly the same as their predecessors, which you have played on previous platforms.

Both of these cannot justify an experience. So your so called "already played" ideology is incorrect.

no like I said, your comprehension skills suck. He said c la s s i c s (weird, that word is censored). Do you know what c l a s s i c s are? Yeah that's right, old games. Meaning they have been on older systems. I have owned a NES, SNES, and a Gamecube. So like I said. They are either games I have already played or games I don't care to play. Did i explain it so that you can understand it this time?

Oh the irony. How about you take a look at which games the OP is refering to.

  • "new Super Mario Bros"
  • "the New DK country"
  • "Skyward Sword"

Hmm...

Then those aren't c l a s s i c s and I played and beat the New mario on the DS. And the other two fit in the "I don't care to play" group. Like I said....I either played or have no desire to play.

they still aren't classics though. Unless your definition of classics is retro

Galaxy series are classics, but the rest the tc listed really aren't.

It's why I like Nintendo.Where Sony and Microsoft push to make their consoles similar to PC's,Nintendo taks a more unique approach to their consoles which stands out from the HD twins and PC.

But apparently thats a sin to people who want Nintendo's consoles and games to be exactly like Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

I play the Wii or other Nintendo products for a different experience. If I wanna Ps3/360/PC experience....i'll just simply play Ps3/360/PC.

As a whole, I hate the Wii, but SSBB is one of the best games this gen. I also had alot of fun with the Trauma Center games of all things.

Same here. Wii had some droughts, no doubt, but overall it has the most games that I have really loved.

That's being extremely generous. Nintendo's legacy is going to pretty hard for even themselves to beat though.
