The Wii is a terrible primary system.

Of all the things I could picture doing after working a 10-12 hour day, is go home and flail my arms around like an idiot.  Don't get me wrong, there are a COUPLE fun games (Yes, I own a Wii), but I feel SORRY for anyone whose primary system is a Wii.  Apparently I've got a rare grey system, because that's what color my Wii is from all the dust.  The one game I DID enjoy (Warioware) was butchered out of widescreen, so I had to stretch the image on my TV.  Not exactly what I could call a "fun" experience.

    What about WarioWare in widescreen? Works fine for me.

    As for "flailing" about, I have yet to do this particular move, as most games require little movement if you don't want to.

    I don't use the Wii as a primary system, but that is more due to a smaller game library than anything related to having to actually move to play it.

 Zelda:TP

 Excite Truck

and so many more that has in no way that u flail around ur arms... u just didn't look hard enough...

Yea pretty much. you listed loads and loads of flops (red steel, sonic, excite truck, elebits) loads of party games and minigames (rayman, warioware, mari o party 8, brainage, etc) and the rest of the lineup unfortunately doesnt stack up agaisnt the compittion. shadow_lord_11

But what i noticed is that what seems to interest the sheep always seems to be select games, because the wii certainly does not dominate any genres.

I just noticed that while many of the games on the Wii do look a bit "chibi", kids would probably not play those games because of the art styl-e (kids want to look mature) and because it'd be too difficult. An example would be Harvest Moon. I can't see a six-year old building a farm, getting married, etc. >_>
