You guys didn't read the TC's post, did you?
I don't think there will ever be one. But let me ask you this. Has there ever been a hardcore racing simulator on a Nintendo Console? If your answer is no, then what made those systems any more hardcore? You might not get a racing sim, but you will probably get F-Zero. I don't know if you've ever played a F-Zero game, but the difficulty rivals any racing sim. F-Zero GX for example, just as much depth as any Gran Turismo. What defines a Hardcore system and game anyway? Does hardcore just mean what's popular at the time? Is it the difficulty level? Is it the quality?
I personally think Hardcore is anything you can become passionate about. A game that's so good, you really don't want to play anything else. Take Pac-Man for example. On the surface it seems like an easy, maybe even childish concept. There are people still obsessing over this game decades later. Do you think in 20 years people are going to care about the original Xbox? At the time is was about as hardcore as you could get. Now it was just a flash in the pan. In 20 years people will want and play the Wii. It might not be the version we are playing right now, but I has left it's mark on the industry and whether people like it or not it is leading revolution.
Didn't bother reading that, but i'll say this: no, the Wii isn't hardcore, imo.thejakel11225hey guys, you remember that episode of family guy where quagmire talks about a third hole in a girl. that is kind of what this thread topic reminds me of
well w.e he is tryin to do but he is still one of those "wii is not this, its that" or "nintendo is just trying to bla blah" and as soon as i read the words "wii", "is" and "hardcore" in the topic, i knew it was going to be something stupid and a fanboy trying to defend a wii

Wow. I am impressed.
I don't think I could have managed to put all of those thoughts into one sentence if I tried.
Bravo.
Although, you'd think with all the effort you put into typing all those quotation marks, you would've stuck in a period or a capital letter.
Anyway, the TC's post is probably one of the least fanboyish things I've heard on SW this week.

Moderation FAQ guys:
Q: I told a user that I reported them for a ToU violation but then I was moderated. Why?
A: We consider one user telling another user that they were reported trolling. Stopping to tell a user that they were reported often is done just to tease or annoy. We ask that users who report someone to simply move on and enjoy the forums after placing a report.

And SW is only used for facts and logic...
If the Wii gets God of War III WITH the graphics its intended to be, with two Wiimotes in your hands with non-glitchy movements - Only then will i call it hardcoreDante865How? god of war as far as I know is a sony exclusive
Wow TC that's a pretty great post, you've made me look at my Wii in a new light.
However I still wouldn't mind getting a PS3 or 360.:P

how many times need you be reported? i can't believe u get away with "intending solely to annoy other users".nice job changing the subject since you cant argue with me anymore. L
i know my statement implies that i reported but rest assured i didnt this time. with all sincerity. i don't want to argue with you coz u say a man's argument is pathetic when all he says is he played a game, he enjoyed it, he even found depth to it when he didn't think he would why are you, and what are you accomplishing by attacking him? i don't want to argue with you because it pointless. you'll say something "wii is kiddy, casual, stupid, low-res, fad, " and ignore the question by saying i can't argue with you when all i want you to post is why do u feel its nessecary to attack someone who says they simply enjoyed something? Before I begin this journey I want to inform everyone that I own a 360, PS3, and a Wii. I have spent years playing and enjoying games and everything that I'm about to say is an opinion. It seems as though, if you look back through Nintendo's history, they have always taken a different approach towards gaming. I have always believed that anything made by Nintendo, in house, was a game that was easy to learn and hard to master. The same was true on the Nes and continues all the way to the Wii. Lately people have said that Smash Brothers is not a true fighter. The crazy thing is that I actually bought into this until I played some hardcore gamers. There is just as much technique involved as when playing a "hardcore fighter." By this logic, no 2d could really be hardcore because the well, the graphics are 2d and most games use a total of 6 buttons, I have now realized that there is more depth in SSBB than in games like DOA4 or VF5. Sure, on the surface wii games seem childish, but the more time you spend with these games, the more you realize how amazing they are. As a classic gamer, I don't need over the top graphics, intense violence, or even a big name production company to truely love a game. All i need is a stong concept and enough material to keep me interested. The Wii has proven that everyone can enjoy games and that if you want to spend 200 hours with a game you can with the Wii. I'd rather be laughing with friends while playing mario kart, than sitting by myself with a bluetooth headset on. All I'm saying is that the Wii bashing is probably coming from people that don't understand the industry and probably also from people that haven't grown up with games. I guess if I was 15 I would only want to play the 360 because it's "cool" to be good at Halo 3, but at some point you grow out of that and just want to enjoy yourself. TonySoprano314

Some people just see brawl as a button masher kid character fest. You'll never convince them how ignorant they are of the actual game itself. Any true hardcore gamer knows that SSBB has incredible depth.

No :|
if you we're actually knowledgeable about brawl, you'd know it has less depth than melee. far less depth.
