The Wii is going to be left out in the cold a lot this generation

And I don't see this changing much either. The devs want to try new things with the hardware. John Carmack is not going to invest years of research and money into the Wii hardware. If he is going to make a Wii game, he will break off a small portion of his existing team, but he (and other devs) will always pay the most attention to the more advanced hardware. Hate to break it to you sheep, but that's the way it is. Rockstar and Namco are always going to pay more attention to the PC/Xbox 360/PS3 and the Wii will get a small apologetic game here and there.

If you have evidence that a massive industry reversal is in the works, I'd like to see it.

Tales of Symphonias graphics are a joke imo. Hopefully the game is good by the time of release.

The Wii is in it's own category, people who buy the Wii do so just for Nintendo's first party games and some third party exclusives here and there, not muiltiplat games. If they were interested in mutliplat games they probably would have invested in one of the other consoles or a PC.

Doom 3 was running like crap at it's release. You needed the best graphic card to be able to run the game at 60 FPS at a low resolution of 1024X768. It was pure crap while Half-Life 2 was running so easily on every weak hardware. IMO, HL2 is looking better than doom 3.

Like I said, john Carmack only got the merit to be the maker of Doom and Castle Wolfenstein. He cannot compete with today devs like Ubisoft Montreal and the makers of COD4... it's finish and rage look way worst than Bioshock, CoD4, Crysis and even Gears of War... let's not forget Unreal tournament 3...

Bioshock and Doom 3 look so simliar in artstyle and overall graphics quality that if it wasn't said by the devs that it was running off the Unreal 3 engine, it would have been mistaken to be the Doom 3 engine. Rage looks really good, have you looked at how nice the model with the weird hat was wearing? It was very detailed and had very nice lighting effects going on. Besides, the point of id's new engine is to help devs make bigger and more detailed worlds without having to worry too much about hardware limitations. This megatuxture technology is moving the FPS industry forward whether you accept it or not.

If you have evidence that a massive industry reversal is in the works, I'd like to see it.

As much as I like the wii I have to agree, While it will maintain its pobualrty with causals as time goes on say in 2 years when some truly amazing games are being made for 360 and ps3 the wiis lack of power under the hood will become so obivous.

It already is. Let's see here:

PS3 gets FF13 and Wii gets a cheap spinoff

Xbox 360 and PS3 get RE5 and Wii gets a shallow shooter with a gimmicky controller shaped like a gun

Xbox 360 and PS3 get SC4 and Wii gets a horrible spinoff called SC: Legends. (read the joystiq preview)

Xbox 360 and PS3 get Virtua Fighter 5 and Wii gets nothing

Therefore it is safe to conclude that PS3, Xbox 360 third party games >>>> Wii's sorry excuse of 3rd party games.

This cycle doesn't seem to be slowing down much either even though a few say they underestimated it.

What about Zack and Wiki... and Dragon Quest?

Let's not forget Tales of Symphonia... the Wii is gonna have it's prime time exclusive too, I'm not afraid.

And it's also getting UT3, Haze, MGS4, Mass Effect, and many other games too! :roll: Andl et's not forget the unannounced R* exclusive and FF13.

And many of those hit the PC market... because there is no guarantees of their sucess on their respective platform...

The Wii is gonna get the RPG market, quote me on that, it will be game over in less time than you may even think.

Many devs changed their take and Square got no more title after FF13... they want to be sure they will be able to make profit due to extremely low PS3 sales.

I know that's why I listed multiplats. I could name first party and a few others, but I'm too lazy. Either way, the Wii is still the only system not getting those games.

Except for things like Too Human, I don't feel left out... but if I was to miss things like SMG and SSBB... ehhhhhh

If it's a Nintendo franchise over 10 years then I honestly don't care. I want Nintendo to make new games that aren't kiddy or casual, but after E3 I've lost hope in them.

Buy a damn PS2, there is enought bloody crap for you to get so sick of it that you would like to play things like SMB. That't just stupid, your just blind, that's all...

Every games I want on the PS3 or the 360 are comming to PC... one or 2 exception only... like Too Human and MGS4.

FYI I have a PS2 in my room and have had a PS2 for about 6 years and I still love it. For every few dumb games there's plenty of good like Okami, Shadow ot the Colossus, the Sly series, and many others.

The 360 and PS3 are going to left out cold this generation. Manhunt 2 is coming out to PSP, PS2, AND WII! OOH MY GOOODDDD! -.-
